ST. PAUL, Minn. - Governor Mark Dayton says in his State of the State speech that past state income tax cuts are partly to blame for chronic budget problems in Minnesota and that political leaders cannot afford to keep delaying difficult tax and spending decisions.

Sad that every time this fool opens his mouth he shows his incompetence and ignorance. Look at all the foolish spending that the Liberals support; Northstar rail, Light Rail (That is actually heavy rail), Bike trails, Stadia, not to mention all the money they pour down the rat-hole called the University of Minnesota. If you disagree with that statement, drive through the campus and see how they waste the money they receive bu building all the most modern appurtenances like bridges and light poles. But then the last time I tried to drive through the University, I was unable to do it due to the myriad of messy construction and closed streets.

It's not the tax cuts that caused the economy to tank. And it's not tax cuts that caused MN economic problems.... it's the fact that the politicians (all of them) just kept right on spending like it was someone else's money.... which of course it was.
Politicians don't get the concept of saving for a rainy day. Their philosophy is "we've got it, let's find something to spend it on -- we can always get more".

You obviously know little about how the Budget projections work.

STOP SPENDING taxpayers money foolishly. Stop paying for private business projects like new stadiums. Most businesses that go under are not, and should not be bailed out with taxpayer dollars. Opening a business is a risk and if they can't make it, it's not the taxpayers obligation to keep it going.

Wow good one. The Stadium. Nobody ever thought to use this as an example of out of control spending.... There are many examples of corporate welfare other than the stadium that won't bring in nearly as much to the state coffers as the stadium. Do some research and figure out the whole picture before you jump on the no fun bandwagon.

Next thing you know you will be wining about how out business will run off to South Dakota for tax relief. Get real. Corporate welfare is a bigger problem across this great country than anyone can imagine. Worse than any human services welfare. He'll, even the Mayo Clinic realized that the state is at their mercy and joined the money train.

Time to stop ALL corporate welfare. Yes, the stadium is an easy example but look beyond the barstool curmudgeons and see the real problems

Paying for stadiums that the wealthy owners who profit should be paying for, and now the new garden in front of it. Geez. Enough now. Stop Spending.

Great! Then can you explain why all of Dayton's money is in a trust in South Dakota?
