There has been another shaken baby. This is time in Tampa FL. Kaleb is fighting for his life.Him too also shaken by a babysitter. THe reason why im writing you is because the babysitter got a $5,00 bond and I have been lookin up all the people who have shaken a baby and none of them had a bond so why is it Tampa FL lets this women walk around while Kaleb is fighting for his life??

What a sick justice system we have. This girl is walking free while a helpless baby is fighting for his life. She will get what is comeing to her. In God we trust!!!! God bless you baby Kaleb.

Uh DUH! They have NO proof she did it. And from the stuff I have seen I think the mother did it. Do you know that 90% of all SBS incidents are done by family members. You do some research and some math and you will see. Try not be as blind and dumb as the rest of the people accusing this lady. She may not of even done it. If she did, she will see her day.

Um Randi, My heart says you may be correct.

I have not said that publicly prior because of all the outcry for help for the bab and family .. and didn't feel it was the right time to say such a thing because regardless of who did it the baby and family are suffering ...

I too weep when I view the photos on her myspace page - as a mom of 4 I cannot even imaging seeing your baby go thru that and poor Kaleb - I just want to hold him and cuddle him.

but the sitter had just started babysitting for them the day or two before - she is a mom of 3 herself and 35 yrs old.

I believe she has no previous reports of problems with children she babysat or her own children -

then we have Kaleb's mom - 21 - new mom - whom to her friends on myspace said being called by the sitter becase kaleb had a 102 fever and was throwing up - DRAMA - and said WHEN WILL THE DRAMA END?(this was the day before he went to hospital for SBS when he had trouble breathing)

... well fever and vomiting are first two signs of SBS so he had it the day before the diagnsis....

I don't know ... I want to believe she didn't do it because as a mom I can never believe a parent harming their child ... but I think she may have.

You may be right. Now that this has been brought up, that may well be the case. However, everyone has a breaking point. So, maybe the babysitter, whom is a mother and 14 years older, lost it and snapped. But, only the Lord knows the truth and will take care of it in due time. We need to trust in Him and allow Him to work in us. God Bless baby Kaleb. He is what matters right now.

I have been trying to research the circumctances behind this case - all signs point towards the parents. The babysitter is only accused by the parents - no other evidence supports that. I am so sad that Kristy or Josh may have done this to the baby and then dropped him off at the daycare - just to blame the sitter - they r young and scared! Now she has the whole country backing her up and the cops r not even looking into it. Either way I pray for Kaleb - and pray that the truth will prevail.

At this point if she wanted to come clean about it she has already reached the hearts of many it would be hard to back out now. I can say either way but, I am saddened by the condition of her son. Who ever did this the truth should prevail.

If the police thought that Kaleb's mom or dad did it...the police would have arrested them!! They believe the story and obviously had enough evidence to make an arrest!!!! You ALL need to wait until the trial...Nobody public has any access to the evidence!!! People are NOT arrested for child abuse of another person's child without evidence...if there was no evidence that the babysitter did it...they would of arrested the parents first...NOTE: neither parent was arrested for this, so please stop pointing fingers and wait for all the evidence....If you have doubts, Please do this country a favor and stop pointing fingers...LET THE POLICE DO THIER JOB!! The main reason that the babysitter got out of jail so easily is because Kaleb is NOT DEAD, had he died due his injuries, you bet your butt she would still be locked up...it's sad that is was so easy, but I can see where the judge would allow her out, I am pretty sure that there is some type of restraining order and she is most likely not allowed other babies without violating her bond.....

I am shocked that people would be so judgemental and use AGE as a red flag! I have known a mother of four who was older and had done babysitting for years shake and kill a young mothers child! How dare you blame the parents! Age doesn't make a better mother! The police don't arrest people just because! People need to remeber that there is more to the story then we all know!

As a young mother of 4 small children I am outraged that you would even try to use age as an excuse for what happened to this poor innocent baby.. If the police and invesigators thought for one second that his parents had done this..do you actually think that they would let them in the hospital room where he lays 24 hours a day!! HELL NO!! And as far as her myspace comments!! There is not a parent out there who hasn't had a bad day and wish for the next day to come where maybe they can start over!! We will all see when the babysitter's arrament comes and she will spend the rest of her life behind bars!!! We love and are praying for you =Josh and Kristy!! Baby Kaleb we know you are gonna make it!! You are such a strong little man:)

I don't know who did it that's for a judge and jury to decide and no one else should worry about who did it cause no one outside of the police and investagators have the facts and just because 90% of the time its the parents doesnt make it 100% all i know is what i see and what i see is a child that has had everything taken from him. me and my wife just had a boy he is 6 months now and im scared outta my mind about leaving him with someone. it takes a vile person that does not deserve life on earth to cause harm to a child.i dont care what they do they dont deserve to be harmed.oh and THEY CRY ALL THE TIME IF YOU CAN'T HANDLE THAT TAKE YOUR BABY TO A SAFE PLACE(fire station, police station, hospital) and let someone who can take over. if this happened to my son i would spend the rest of my life in prison for murder and torture becuase if something happened to him let god have mercy becuase i wont....

SBS often goes unnoticed for a while and is hard to detect immediately. I can say through research and as a nurse that a fever, emesis (vomiting) and irritability are the first symptoms that generally occur from the trauma. Someone posted that those issues were present when Kristy dropped poor Kaleb off at the sitters. I don't know if those are actual facts or not, but having said that, who in the world would take their child to a sitter under those circumstances? If it were my child I would immediately take him to the doctor. You should NEVER drop a baby off at daycare with a temp. of 102!!!!!! Please keep in mind that I'm basing this on whether that statement is correct or not.

Kristy admitted on her blog that she was once arrested for domestic battery on her husband. Now, I'm not saying that makes her capable of harming a helpless infant, but there is a history. That blog is titled "Up Front", check it out. She states that she was exonerated and charges were dropped.

The main thing we all need to do is pray for Kaleb. the truth will eventually come out.

The Innocence for the baby sitter or the parents is for the Judge to determine why can't you all just keep your nose out of it and wish for the best for baby kaleb!! I am 17 and i have a 3 1/2 month old son also named kaleb and im a damn good mom so age really isnt a factor!
