this fine young man is a true hero. He modeled his life with the goal of serving his country from the young age of 12. He achieved many things in his short life. I will honor him with my flag being lowered. I feel for his family in this time of sorrow although this young soldier would ask that we just honor his service.
These young men are truly unique

This flags at half-staff thing has gotten out of hand. It is being used so much that it has lost much of its meaning.

Ben made the ultimate sacrifice for his country. I respect and thank him for that.

What a mistake!, he should have "served his country" by being a scientist, or a good productive occupation like a teacher, or an honest politician with vision, instead of a dead-end job that the only results are invading another country making it safe for the U.S. Oligarchic Corporate investment.

You are so wrong. We would not have this country and our freedoms if it wasn't for the soldiers who have fearlessly and patriotically defended our country throughout our history. You can disagree with the decisions made to start any of these wars all you want, but you cannot take your frustrations out on the soldiers who are protecting us. RIP and thank you and your family for your sacrifices.
