I have no problem with the memorial. The other day I was told by a Rosemount Police Officer that my garbage can cannot be outside unless it is pick up day? Don't the Rosemount cops have anything better to do?

From what I have heard I don't think we lost a future Nobel Prize winner out of the whole bunch. Hopefully the perp(s) will rot in prison for their life or suffer some terrible fate in prison that will reduce the cost to the taxpayers. We put down dogs that bite. Maybe the same policy should apply here.

*sigh*

Do you live in St. Paul, it says it under your name?? Mine says Washington DC, guess what, I don't live there.

What is listed under the name is the physical location of that persons web access. Not the physical location of the person themselves.

It's called the internet, it's relatively new I know, so learn about it and try not to reveal your ignorance when you question the statements of others.

I grew up a block away from where this event took place, I attended Rosemount Schools from 1990-1997. This hits home for me. Granted I am not but 10-12 years older than the kids involved, but I seriously do not understand the thought process of kids and teenagers now, everything is so dramatic, violent, and disturbing.

I am a mother of a 6 year old, so I do have a long way to go - hopefully- before having to deal with anything to this extent in my own realm, but from what I get out of it is...

If your gonna go to the extent of going back into your house to get a knife with intent to do harm to someone BEFORE that person does harm to you Obviously there was something wrong with the individual before this incident... Than if the person you intend to hurt does provoke you, to go to the extent to stab them MULTIPLE times...What the ****!!!!

I can only hope that I would realize as a parent that my child had issues before it even got close the that. I did not know these kids involved so who am I to judge, but seriously, as a teenager come on!!!

I was Shocked to hear this happening so close to where I lived. I myself had better things to do than provoke a fight let alone even think about stabbing someone. Our society has become so messed up, I can say before having kids I didn't think about the world that they were going to grow up in now even compared to what I grew up in, and knowing what I know now, I would have decided differently about have children.

Did this kind of thing happen in the 90's and as a kid I just never heard about it???

Hey, I'm cousins with Cody and when they say the family is upset with us having to take down the memorial. We weren't angry with it at all. We are going to remember him for who he was, not where he was killed. Nothing is going to bring him back. I'm also friends with his friends, they weren't too mad about taking it down either. I mean I helped put up some of the stuff there and now some of the stuff is at my house. It wasn't a big deal at all.

What a cold hearted person you are. You don't know anything about either of these young kids. I am sure that you were perfect when you were younger and never got in trouble. I know that I did some things in my younger years that I am not proud of, but I have changed and am making a great life for myself and my family. Grow up!!

What a sick and sad comment!!!! I must admit you seem to in need of mental health help, please get some!!!!! This was a tragedy for all concerned and your comments, I am guessing, you would never say to the family, friends or any other people face to face, but then the internet allows people like you to make your cruel, outrageous comments and think that it is OK. Well, you may live to regret those words someday in the future when something horrible of bad happens to someone in your family or a friend of yours, God forbid, but it may happen and then you will see things differently. They say, Everyone has something they regret in their past, obviously these comments will be some of your regrets later in life!

To The Family of Cody Casey. My heart goes out to you as you come to terms with the tragic loss of your beloved son. He was a fine young man with a great big heart. May you find comfort in knowing he is now at peace and no longer subjected to the cruelty of this world. God Bless each of you.

Nope. Not cold hearted, just have my brain engaged and functioning. And while not perfect in my youth I was able to abstain from drugs and alcohol(never have heard of anything good coming from the consumption of those vices.) I was also able to avoid the commission of felonies up to and including murder. In fact it never crossed my mind.

To commit that felony the perp has to have a defect in their makeup, right down to the DNA. The best way to deal with it is to erase that combination from the gene pool. I prefer to bury the defect in a pine box six feet under so it cannot reproduce and infect another person, rather than paying to lock it away in a broom closet were it has a potential to escape back into the wild. We put dogs down merely for a bite. I can think of no better solution for the perp in this case.

So Angry Mom, how far up the felony ladder did you get as a youth?

All I have to say is there shouldnt be bottles or cigarettes or poster but what hurts if a stuffed animal or two and some flowers are there. im pretty sure chris carlson died on 160th and there is a metal cross in the ground that could possibly make a car accident that happens there worse one day. ITS A METAL POST.

If your from Rosemount or the surrounding 651 area,or you are a very close friend or reletive, you are entitled to your own thaughts.other than that Cody would be so heated to even know you people were talking about him.Keep his name out of your mouths otherwise.Cody it's been a couple days over a year since we lost you and we all think about you every day brother.I love you and im missin you.Till the day we meet again.
