Uh-oh, here comes the organic farmer with her breast knife out pretendin' she's Jack the Ripper instead of just playin' Mack the Knife on her daughter's old phonograph in the room she keeps just as it was before she died. the tears start to roll down her cheeks, big, heavy, dewy balls of water splashing down harmlessly on her wrinkled old hands in the bitter silence of her daughter's perfectly preserved bedroom. You see? I a pretty good sleuth too, huh?

o dark thirty wrote: <quoted text> these guys, aka dems wrecked it: by Thomas J. DiLorenzo The thousands of mortgage defaults and foreclosures in the "subprime" housing market (i.e., mortgage holders with poor credit ratings) is the direct result of thirty years of government policy that has forced banks to make bad loans to un-creditworthy borrowers. The policy in question is the 1977 Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), which compels banks to make loans to low-income borrowers and in what the supporters of the Act call "communities of color" that they might not otherwise make based on purely economic criteria. The original lobbyists for the CRA were the hardcore leftists who supported the Carter administration and were often rewarded for their support with government grants and programs like the CRA that they benefited from. These included various "neighborhood organizations," as they like to call themselves, such as "ACORN" (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now). These organizations claim that over $1 trillion in CRA loans have been made, although no one seems to know the magnitude with much certainty. A U.S. Senate Banking Committee staffer told me about ten years ago that at least $100 billion in such loans had been made in the first twenty years of the Act. So-called "community groups" like ACORN benefit themselves from the CRA through a process that sounds like legalized extortion. The CRA is enforced by four federal government bureaucracies: the Fed, the Comptroller of the Currency, the Office of Thrift Supervision, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. The law is set up so that any bank merger, branch expansion, or new branch creation can be postponed or prohibited by any of these four bureaucracies if a CRA "protest" is issued by a "community group." This can cost banks great sums of money, and the "community groups" understand this perfectly well. It is their leverage. They use this leverage to get the banks to give them millions of dollars as well as promising to make a certain amount of bad loans in their communities. here's one of those bleeding heart liberals at the 2004 Republican Convention: Another priority for a new term is to build an ownership society, because ownership brings security and dignity and independence. ... Thanks to our policies, home ownership in America is at an all- time high. (APPLAUSE) Tonight we set a new goal: 7 million more affordable homes in the next 10 years, so more American families will be able to open the door and say, "Welcome to my home." http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles... and i should ask...why did Bush give money to ACORN?

Indiana Senate Calling For A 2nd U.S. Constitutional Convention Indiana is halfway to becoming the first state to call for a second U.S. constitutional convention. The Senate voted Monday 32-18 in favor of a convention to consider amendments to rein in the federal government. Senate President Pro Tem David Long (R-Fort Wayne) contends the government has used its taxing power and its authority over interstate commerce to expand federal power over the states far beyond what the founders envisioned, and argues that shift won’t be solved by sending different representatives to Washington. He says a Constitutional amendment is the only remedy left. http://indianapublicmedia.org/news/indiana-se... http://www.indianasnewscenter.com/news/local/...

I would like to take a moment, and a much needed breather, from maniacally judging your posts to make a serious and heartfelt post. Most of you know me as "Waxman" (Waxturds, the chubby teabagger from Connecticut), but I'm so much more than that. I'm caring, I'm giving, I'm sensual. Its just that as I get older and fatter, things have slowed down quite a bit for me. A couple of years ago you'd have never caught me posting for 12 straight hours because the phone would ring 5-6 times a night (and it'd be a different dude every time!!!). Now, I'm lucky if the janitor knocks on my door for a quickie after cleaning the community toilets. I guess what I'm REALLY saying is..... I need friends (lovers too!!). I'll do literally anything to earn your trust, and you can mop up the floor with me six ways from Sunday. Please...leave your phone numbers and,,, Just love me unconditionaly.... Warm hugs!!! Waxman On with the judgit tourney!!!!!!!!!!

Hard-liners Are Paving the Way for Their Increased Irrelevance If Hagel’s mostly conventional record on issues relating to Israel can be suddenly erased or ignored because he appealed for an end to conflict in Lebanon and didn’t sign a few pointless letters, then there is almost no one who cannot be subjected to the same treatment when hard-liners choose to attack. Because of this, there are actually fewer incentives for politicians to listen to hard-liners’ demands, which are increasingly so divorced from reality that they become a liability for anyone not in a safe seat. There may eventually be more incentives to adopt more unconventional views on the grounds that the hard-liners will never be satisfied no matter what one does. http://www.theamericanconservative.com/lariso...

OBAMA THE BIG LIE
Walstonburg, NC

You know, the one thing about being president is, after four years, you get pretty humble. You'd think maybe you wouldn't but actually you become more humble--you realize what you don't know," Obama said. "You realize all the mistakes you made. But you also realize you can't do things by yourself. That's not how our system works. You've got to have the help and the goodwill of Congress, and what that means is you've got to make sure that constituents of members of Congress are putting some pressure on them, making sure they're doing the right thing." - See more at: http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/obama-you... OBAMA THE BIG LIE
Walstonburg, NC

The ol’ double standard was alive and well last week, as former Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr., Democrat of Illinois, pleaded guilty in a Washington federal court to stealing three-quarters of a million dollars from campaign funds. No, the media were not defending Jackson’s seven-year crime spree, which included his wife, a onetime Chicago alderman, filing false income tax returns. Nor were they comparing Jackson favorably with other political miscreants—R 03;although the Washington Post’s resident snarkmeister, Dana Milbank, came close:“Jackson’s problem,” he explained,“was that he did what everybody else does—but he took it to a new level of excess.” No, it was the mournful, elegiac, even respectful, tone of the coverage that impressed The Scrapbook. This was not an occasion for harsh judgment or pointed satire, but a family misfortune—R 03;a steep, poignant, relentless fall from grace—un folding in public view. As Jackson acknowledged his monumental thievery to the court, readers were treated to vignettes of his manifest sadness (“Tell everybody back home I’m sorry I let them down”), lamentations about his once-promising career, and descriptions of the family patriarch—̴ 3;that would be the Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr., of “Hymietown” fame—sit ting stoically in the courtroom, surrounded by friends and relatives, offering solace to his wayward offspring. Most impressive of all, the usual suspects on America’s op-ed pages—Ma ureen Dowd, Eugene Robinson, Ruth Marcus, Charles M. Blow, et al.—were equally circumspect, refraining from comment on this particular downfall. Readers need only imagine, of course, what the atmosphere would be if the most promising member of a Republican political dynasty— say, a Bush scion, or a Romney son—had stolen $750,000, disappeared from Washington for months to seek unspecified medical treatment, and then tearfully sought absolution in court. - See more at: http://www.weeklystandard.com/articles/democr...
