I just wanted to tell you how sad I am that this levy has passed. Before you want to scream at me because I don't want to support our youth let me tell you a bit about myself. I have raised 4 children and put them all thru college. I also helped to fund another realitives college education because without me they would not have been able to attend. I love our youth and I feel every child is entitled to a good education and busses! With all of that said, I also want to tell you that I depleted my funds educating family and am now on social security and I have not had an increase in my checks for the past 2 years, yet every single bill I have has increased including food and medicine. I do not take all of the meds that my doctor wants me to because I can not afford them. Yes, some would argue that I ask for help from the ones I helped in the past, but I would rather not since I have always been able to make it on my own. Sadly, I may end up having to do just that since everyone keeps dipping into my pockets when they can not figure out how to budget their funds. I want to know how they sleep at night? They need to stop wasting money. If a child wants to play a sport, then the parents should buy the uniform. That is how it used to be. The argument now is that there are children who will not be able to play because the parents can not afford to buy the uniform. So what you are doing is having me pay for it, yet I can not afford to buy my medicine. Sounds fair to me??? And taking away the busing is always a sure fire way to get parents to vote yes. There are so many other places they could make cuts, but they want to "bully" the parents till they give in. Nice tactics. I thought there was a 0 tolerence for bullying? Enjoy our money.
