"Alcohol is not suspected as a factor in the incident."

Stupidity is a suspected factor in the incident.

their guardian angels must've been watching out for them, apparently their parents weren't...they've probably watched their parents do the same thing, go around the gates...be sure and hand them another vehicle and send them back out on the roads as soon as they're able

When will people learn that trains are bigger than cars?

Hope they are ok and the driver loses his license for a while.

Trains and semi's ALWAYS win. If I was this kid's parent I would kick the crap out of him! The stupidity is beyond belief.

Do you have kids? Do you even know these people?
While I think what the teens did was dumb, remeber they are teens, has none of you done something wreckless at their ages? Let`s hope they and other will learn from this.

I love seeing this or equivalent comments on every post like this:

Let me tell you - First of all, this does not happen alot, second of all, it has NEVER and WILL never happened to me, because I am not that stupid. Now I hope they are ok, but don't excuse their stupidity based on the fact that "We all do stupid stuff". Why not use that excuse for murderers? Rapists? Etc? Its BS.

I also think the driver has been punished enough, seeing as how he was badly hurt. He probably won't do that again any time soon.

Are you all forgeting that we are talking about kids? If this was adults it would be different, but come on! I think your post is BS. Teens do stupid things, they were not out rapeing robing or murdering, the driver made a last min dumb choice. One I don`t think he will do again and mant other can learn from it.
