I don't know what to say except that my heart goes out to the family of this man. He WILL pay for what he has done.

The victim in this case is not Gale it is his 15 year old son whom it looks like he adopoted so he could molest him and sell him to other pedophiles. For those of you who rally around this perverted sick man...shame on you! Its people like you who perpetuate the the sexual abuse in this state . He is every parents nightmare and god forbid that we find there are other victims.
He is the worst of the worse..a man in a postion in his Morman church and his town who was trusted to care and guide children. He should be shot but perhaps prison will render this sick man what he deserves. He is far below drug dealers and murderers in my book.
He pimped his own boy for his own sexual gratification? And then carried on business and church duties? Why no one suspected this and why did this poor boy suffer at his hands for so long? Those whp knew that Gale was molesting children and did not report him (like church officals, friends or family) should also be held accountable because they too are responsible.
The Judge in this case should have doubled the bail not reduced it to $20,000....what is the message Utah is sending to the rest of the country by this reprehensible reduction of his bail??? That this state is a free for all when it comes to children and sex? Pray for the victims of this evil man.

I agree, why do certain individuals get special treatment? Hmm i wonder... Anyone who would do this sort of sick behavior while perpetuating the religous lifestyle that his business was.. really makes me wonder just how stupid he thought we all were when we went there for church materials, ect. I dont know about the rest of this community but im confused and i will forever be more careful about whom put in positions of trust at church or anywhere else. All i can say is those who make special exceptions for him are going to be be responsible in the end as well. I guess anyone can appear to be good upstanding civic leaders, and we should be alarmed at what those people are capable of as well as the so called unsavory people that have not recieved such special treatment for much lesser offenses. No wonder people outside of our area seem to think what they think. This man and those so called "leaders" make me sick.

You idiot. His family still needs money. The people who have been hurt (yes, his adopted son) will only be more hurt by boycotting his business.
The store is now under his wife's management. She needs help.
You're a fool.

I agree she needs help. For more reasons than one. Of course they are saying she has taken over. Everyone knows he still is the owner. And she has a teaching career. Idiot? Typical.

Gee, we run pedophiles out of our communities in NM. Maybe they can all move to Roosevelt to be pillars of the community there? Do you people not realize they cannot be rehabilitated...they will continue their pervert, abusive, sick behavior and ruin more innocent children's lives !! Come out of the dark ages up there and do what has to be done to protect your children. It doesn't matter what the guy has done in the past..THE COMMUNITY NEEDS TO BE PROTECTED FROM THE PERVERT....NOW!

I agree whole heartedly Jean, but as you can see alot of people in our community are too spineless to come forth. The fact that this wife stays with this sick, pathetic excuse for a man i cannot understand. One can only hope that the other children in the home have been examined both mentally and physically by qualifed doctors but who knows, nothing would surprise me. Look into the facts people..this does not usually happen only ONCE or to one child in the family. HOW could she not know something was wrong here? Its all a nightmare. I wonder if dcfs has done anything. She needs to get him out of their lives at the very least..who is actually watching out for the kids? and NO there is no rehabilitation. GET REAL Yeah i think we get the sickos from alot of other places, though this one was born and raised and right in the midst of the mormon heirarchy here. He always had alot of gossip to spread about regular folks as well ..isnt that amazing/SAD

Hey isn't this the same guy who was picketing porn stores in Mesquite awhile back? He worked for SkyWest. Maybe he got "corrupted" by spending so much time hanging around the porn shop. Watch out for the "holier than thou" people - they're usually the ones with sick minds.

I await the day you find someone isn't who they thought they were, and I sincerely hope people point fingers at you and spread vicious rumors.

You people. I'll never understand the need to hide behind hands and whisper twisted secrets and speculation. You all disgust me. Thoroughly.

The fact she has a teaching career (which, at the moment she's unable to participate in) doesn't mean anything. What is it you're trying to accomplish? It can't be because you're angry with his wife (who, by the way, no charges are brought against) as HIS CHILDREN, the people that were hurt MOST are being directly affected by it. What is it then? Is it on some principle? You are attempting to punish those people that by all means need a helping and outstretched hand, not ostracization to an ever greater degree.

What principles of yours tell you to not buy LDS supplies at the book store?

I'm assuming you're LDS, as you're talking about boycotting his business.

Is it "Love your neighbor," perhaps? Is it "forgive and be forgiven"?..though nobody harmed you directly, and by boycotting you're causing further damage to a family that needs embracing.. so really, I hope the family finds it in their hearts to forgive YOU. Yes, you. You people leaving them in the dust on some forgotten principle you cannot name.

Mayhaps you do need to head into the bookstore, if only to pick up some material that will enlighten you on your hypocricy and self-centeredness.

I. Am. Disgusted.

Keep your head in the sand lady. I dont believe there is forgiveness when you commit these sickening offenses against the innocent. Protecting the guilty not the innocent is a CRIME to all of us. These young people are our future and it is our job to protect them. Regardless, it was both of their jobs as parents to protect the kids, not use them for sexual gratification and prostitution. I think all anyone wants ot accomplish is to prevent this from happening to some other child. Its no wonder he got away with it for that long with people such as yourself supporting him. He will be judged along with anyone who had that small voice of concern whispering in the heart the something was not quite right here and still doing nothing. There are other stores to buy from. "Mayhaps" ? I have nothing more to say. You should be ashamed of yourself. Denial. How does it feel?

I honestly dont know how you could have the audacity to say something like this about my aunt. I am a member of the Gale Family. I Brad is my uncle, and frankly, no one knew this was going on.
You may think you can know everything about someone who you live with, but if they want to have secrets, there is no way for you to know. I can't believe that you would dare to say things such as, "She should have known" or to have this, "I would have known if it were my family" attitude. I pray that you never have something so disgraceful happen in your family, but only if you did could you actually know how you would react.
I would ask the people of Roosevelt and Vernal not to boycott the store, as one of these posts mentioned, his family will be the ones hurt from this course of action, not him.

Sorry, but the bookstore materials didn't do Mr. Gale any good, assuming he used them. This is not about religion, it is about protecting your child instead of your husband which is what she seems to be doing. He's a church guy molesting his kid and we're "hipocrits"????

Angy, you are right. As usual, in Utah every one is supposed to share mormon beliefs. And anyhow of course its not about religion, its about a crime against a CHILD! It is another wake up call that i am sad to say, alot of people in this community will not face. This is why it all continues to happen. We need to be more wary as parents and mothers of the signs of abuse. Not look the other way. Im curious to know how a pedophile was alowed to adopt children. LDS social services or what?
