You can't make a statement saying that the whole class is bad. There are kids in every class that are going to be trouble makers. that's just the way it is. If you don't want your kids to be exposed to it then home school them. If you have raised them with the right morals and values then what other kids do won't affect your child.
THANK YOU!!! Im a part of that grade and im sick of people assuming im a terrible kid because a couple people in my grade are trouble makers

Ya'll still going on about a dance in 2009? For heavens sake, if you have a child attending, go to the dance and chaperone. You can met your kid wont be grinding. Quit putting it all on the teachers and principles. Carry your weight. parents tending to students attitudts and behavior ps needed more than teachers acting as babysitters. We were reasonably behaved out of the house because a report otherwise would have our butts grounded for months. Quit whining and step up.

My daughter is an 8th grader at Lukancic Middle School in Romeoville. She got all dressed up for this event. It was billed as a mini-prom just for the 8th grade students. She came home with stories and pictures on her digital camera that would make people wonder WHO IS RUNNING THIS SCHOOL? There were kids kissing in the lunch room. The dancing was out of control! Girls rubbing their backsides on boys legs. One picture she has is of girls dancing as if they are 22 year old prostitutes. The sickening part of the picture is that the principal is also in the picture looking at the girls dancing. Can a principal be put out by the community? What does it take? Someone help me! Thank the Lord my daughter is done with that school this week.
I went to that school. There was nothing wrong with it when I went to it. It's all the parents that let THEIR children go out and do that. Like really. What did you expect to happen? They all go around and sing ring around the rosey? No. It's a school dance. All kids do now a days at that age is hear about people dancing like or wearing stuff like that. Your the parents. You should go and have a say in what your kids are doing. Not blame It on what the principle did. You are the ones that let those kids go out and do that. You could have said," Oh no. I don't want you going dressed like that or no because I know what happens at school dances". I mean come on. All kids watch now a days are tv shows like "Jersey Shore" or "Teen Mom". Maybe you should start to pay attention to what your kids do. Not rely on someone else to do that for you. You have to learn to teach your kids to be the way you want them to be. You not doing that is an example of how bad of a parent you are. Your not teaching the kids the right way to be.

"Are you kidding" come on. So you raised your daughter right but, she stays at the dance and takes pictures. You get upset and turn to topix to solve your problem with people you don't know? Put on your mommy pants and ask your daugther why she stayed and took the pictures. Deal with the fact your daughter was there probably having fun and taking pictures. I would ask your daughter does her friends have pictures of her? My guess is her picture is on someones phone. It's starts at home with you. If it bugs you so much than go to the school. You own it so deal with it as a parent. Be careful cuz it going to come back home once all the pictures get out the little teenage girls and boys start talking.

Having gone through this school system, I would like to say one thing. A parent can raise their kids to be the nicest, most moral people in the world, but when they're at school, they can be a different person. A teen is going to do what they want, whether or not their parents know because of a "teens know best" mentality. I think it's really unfair that the parents are being blamed for raising their daughters to be what you guys keep referring to as hookers and whores. The parents might not realize that this kind of behavior is going on since they expect their kids to be going to a safe and fun environment. You guys cannot seriously blame the parents for all of this, because you might have a kid that participates in these dances just as sexually as the next kid but they won't let you know that. Yes, the medias portrayal of sex is obviously having a heavy influence on these young teens, but maybe parents and the school system should approach it intelligently, instead of avoiding it or having an abstinence only policy.

As for the Principal just sitting there watching, sure, that should be brought up. That just seems inappropriate. However, bringing the media in is not going to change the way teenagers act. Sure it outs the school system, and makes the Principal look creepy, but the whole point is to teach the students that they do not need to be so sexual to have a good time. If anything, they're going to feed off the media attention, as these days everyone wants to be some kind of famous, whether it be making the problem worse, or saying what good children they are and speak against Romeoville schooling.
