Honestly I haven't tried Fat Ricky's, but I've had Rosati's and Michaels and think that Beggar's Pizza over on 59 is the best around us. Pizza size is a little smaller than I'm used to coming from the south side, but it is good quality and haven't had many problems ordering from them.

Have any of you that had a bad experience called the store and talked to Ricky, made an appointment to talk to him or asked to talk to him while you were there? If not do so, as he takes complaints very seriously. As for the attitude of the counter help, again talk to Ricky himself or the manager on duty that is not tolerated and will be corrected.
I like At's a Nice, Jimano's and Michael's for pizza. Pauly's for sit down and delivery and the other two for delivery only as they do not have anyplace to eat in their stores.
Made an appointment? Is the guy a doctor, too? I went in three times--3 times! Each time my order was incorrect. Where was Ricky or the management then? If he is so concerned then why is it he hires a bunch of kids with attitude in the first place? I know alot of kids with better attitudes looking for a job and would appreciate it. I'll bet the employees there, are extended family members who could care less because they know that their family member wouldn't have the heart to fire them. It happens all the time. Besides, the food was terrible--he has alot of work to do on just that one issue alone. I do agree about Micheal's and Jimano's. They do have better quality of food and have quick delivery.

Did you ask to talk to Ricky or the manager on duty to express your displeasure or just stew about it? If you came across with a huge attitude, while I don't condone the employee's attitude, this could explain the employee's.

I had an attitude? No sir, I only pointed out what was missing from my order. I did ask to s/w a manager & another kid (older, though) came out. Perchance are the owner or manager? If so, there are other complaints besides mine and they all seem to be similar in nature.

My family prefers Windy City over anything in Romeoville. Chris, George and their entire staff is great. I think the customer service alone makes it worth going there.
Papas pizza in Bolingbrook has by far the best pizza anywhere around this area. Worth the drive for sure.

people here showing their dislikes about fat rickey's and that is their opinion. i must say i prefer ricks food over any one elses here in town because everything from pasta to cake is not bought through wholesale and heated up like other places. if you order a sandwich , ricks staff makes them right there for you to see, if you buy them at brothers home plate, they are pre packed. ricks past gets made from scratch, you buy pasta elsewhere in town, it tastes like it came out of the can.windy city is also a good place for beef, if you like beef, but other than that fat rickeys has EVERYbody here in town beat for quality. i would not consider fat rickeys a 'fast food restaurant' like the others either. if i have an issue i talk to rick, kevin or keisha who are there every day. ricks restaurant is ALWAYS busy telling me he does a good job in tow. rick donates thousands of dollars to local youth programs and does a lot of other stuff people are aware of here in town. i like to eat my food at fat rickeys and so do thousands of others here in town too. so, for the few disliking it. it comes with the territory, he can't please anybody.for the poor customer service;speak to the managers about it, they will fix it, but he can't fix it if you speak up.

I used to eat Fat Rickeys every day for lunch...until I came to my senses. I would get a salad everyday until I started to calculate how much I was paying every week. Their salads were good, but $10 every day for a salad was getting a little crazy... Windy City has my vote hands down!

Whatever happened to giving people a second chance. You mean to tell me all of you are perfect in your business and never make a mistake. We are all human and need a chance to correct any mistakes that we make. If you don't say something then how can it be fixed. I love Fat Ricky's but have also had an issue with my pizze before. Mentioned it and had the problem resolved. Now wasn't that simple? If you owned a business wouldn't you want a chance to fix things. Give business owners a break.

Just wondering, did you actually read the comments above? Yes, we all make mistakes. In the world of business, with competition, those mistake cost you. You had your pizza problem corrected, but that obviously didn't stop the pizza problems. What will stop the pizza problems is when Ricky starts asking, "Hey, why are our piza sales down Mr. Manager?" and "Why did you have to remake or refund for so many sandwiches/pizzas?"

Most of us wrote the initial problem off as a bad day at Fat Ricky's, but after several of them and with really good competition right up Rte. 53, well these things do tend to take care of themselves.

I agree with the people who like Windy City Grill better! The people who work there are so friendly. The food is way better and so are the prices! I love their Greek salad, yummy!

Fat Ricky's has the best pizza
Windy City is great for Poor boy's and polish
Brothers Home Plate is awesome for italian beef
Ats a nice is great atmosphere and salads
Culvers gets best burger
Mr. Taco is ok but location stinks
Doggie Diner gets best fries gyros
Michaels Pizza gets best delivery (pizza always hot)
Crispy Waffle is ok but Niko's is better
best bar is Mickey's followed by Chaos
and then there is a pretty big drop off

worst food in town besides the big three? How about Nick's Ribs and the lame service there or take your pick of the last few chinese buffets on 53 that died. But my pick for the absolute worst dive in town would have to go to ruby's.

worst bar is a toss up between Leo's, crazy rock or LA. Talk about slumming.

As far as the Fat Ricky stuff..I have never had a problem and Rick is one of the biggest givers in town. If your gonna judge food, start with your wives.

I recently moved to Joliet to take over my Mom's house after she passed, and guess what I found there. The Original Sub Dock! Same menu as the Romeoville location had, same owners, and the food brought back memories. Its on Jefferson St, a ways east of Larkin.

I did give them a few chances but, 4 times is enough. I also spoke to the women manager there and she made me feel as If I was in the wrong for complaining about their rude counter help. At's A Nice is the best all round pizza in Romeoville.
