Looks like you need to go back to school. Yikes! What kind of writing is that?!

Nice answer. A parent trying to do what is best for his/her child and instead of advice, you give unneccesary critisism. You do not think an adult might not realize their own weaknesses yet still try to reach out for advice so their child can do better? Shame on you.
To the original poster, you might start by asking the local police about the number of suspected or actual gang related activity complaints from each school. The other things I dont know. Maybe the Valley View school adminpstration board has each schools rankings on math, reading, etc.

First, get a life. Second, the orginal poster may have valid questions regarding the school situation; however, their post was ridiculous and difficult to understand. An adult with some education can write better than that. Another example of America's 'dumbing down' and others making excuses for their behavior. The poster could have at least re-read their own post, made corrections so that readers could UNDERSTAND what they are trying to convey. Not a good form of communication. I hope their children do better.

Grrr, there are many reasons why a person might no be able to spell or punctuate properly. Your superior abilities in these fields do not give you the right to critsize. You only come off as a pompous ass. Can you not imagine how hard it might be for a person with such a problem to face critical snobs like you, even in an attempt to improve the education of their offspring? Have you anything of worth to offer the poster seeking information other than what he already knows about himself....and you? Also, this will be my last response to your vitriole. You have posted posted more insightful comments elsewhere so I know you are capable of actually being helpful.

Oh please. You sound like a pompous ass and a fool. Americans are one of the very few countries that encourage FREE public education. Those who choose not to participate or recognize the value of even a small amount of basic education are only cheating themselves (even those with special needs can benefit of some sort of education. Living skills, basic reading and writing yes,of great benefit. Shakespeare not so much--and that's okay). Therefore, I look like a pompous ass because I took my studies seriously? No. I was taught to value an education. The poster did not re-read their own post, did not spell check (whether by themselves of with the help of a computer)and they presented themselves miserably. By the way, your attempt to look pompous and well educated failed miserably as well. The words are 'criticized' and "vitriol'(which means cruel or harsh speech). My post was neither cruel nor harsh. It is a sad fact- the 'dumbing down' of America. The fact that so many Americans are ill-educated (in one of the richest, most prolific countries in the world) is harsh and difficult to understand given all the opportunites available that so many on Earth wish the had.

I have to agree. It was hard to understand 'Parentinneed's post. I thought maybe a young child wrote this. Maybe a kid who is afraid of middle school? It's hard to believe a grown man/woman would write like that. It was pretty bad.

Good call, Thisisnow. If it is a scared kid, I can only hope he has found someone to address his concerns. There hasn't been much encouragement or insight offered on this site so far.
