Does anyone know of a place where I can donate used paperback books? They are primarily mystery novels and I hate to just throw them away. I also don't want to have to mail them somewhere.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you

I am sure any one of the local middle school/ high schools will take them. Also the rec center has a teen group, you can bring them up there and donate to the youth group.

the library accepts then sells the books, adding the proceeds to their budget..if I understand correctly.

Nursing homes, assisted care facilities and some retirement communities sometimes like to have donated magazines and books. Often, those on a limited income can neither make it to a library very easily, don't get out to shop and books are sort of expensive. Make some calls.

riht now your donations to the library, which sells the books, are going to the Fountaindale Dist. if I understand correctly. Wait til the bld. is purchased by the Des Plaines dist. then donate your books.

just a thought...fountaindale, a nice enough dist., is blding a whopping , gorgeous new exrension in Bolingbrook already. Our new dist. could use the bit extra in thier budget....

Daily Horoscope for July 29

Scorpio

You may be under creative or financial pressure today; take a few deep breaths to avoid biting anyone's head off this morning. You may be frustrated, but rest assured this too shall pass. As magnificent Mars moves into Libra, the pressure from behind the scenes also grows. You'll need to investigate and develop inner strengths in the weeks ahead, overcoming the deep conditioning that we all suffer from in one way or another.
