Why does this blowhard think that he was or is needed as a PSC? The guy was not only was an egotistical and vindictive person but lack the demeanor to carry out the job. I am proud the Chief stated the truth ! Good for you Chief!!!!

Not hard to see the spin you tried to put on this. What do you think the chief is going to say? He's afraid who would be his boss. Now, he doesn't have to worry because he doesn't have one. Brilliant and it's not hard to figure out that you are probably one that had to be disciplined. Spin, spin, spin..........

The City does not need a PSC, Rome has a Chief, Deputy Chief in both departments . Masucci was nothing more than a political hatchet man for the former mayor. Masucci did not have the credentials to be a PSC, and needed to be disciplined himself. Brown lost the election due to his attitude and his staff and this guy was the main reason.

They are both right. The full time PSC job was nothing more than a political plum job for one of Browns stooges.

Say what you want but he actually had the perfect credentials for the job. Despite his demeanor he got the job done and done well. I personally did not like the guy but cant argue he was able to do the job. The city does need a psc to be a hub for all safety within the city. Both depts have chiefs but work as seperate entities. The psc is a coordinator of both collective efforts and can be focused on that. As it is now each dept runs itself from within but where is the coordination between both units. he didnt need to babysit everyone he had to discipline or be kind and gentle doing it. Maybe he wasnt the most politicaly correct in his management style but you just cant make a valid argument that the job didnt get done. Perhaps he should have kissed babies or held the hands of those making mistakes. but bottom line he ultimately got the job done. The unions are in shambles and the city is not a well oiled machine anymore. Bet the vote would be a lot different now. Case and point the grass isnt greener. And like i said i didnt care for either.

I support the Chief, Masoochie is only posturing for himself like always. Brown should have gotten rid of him he might have still been in office.

I've been told that the grave digger has actually been trying to fill this position since early spring. He's offered the job to at least four people. All have turned it down.

Yeah, he provided discipline fairly. That's why one employee was allowed to have a fully paid 18 month suspension/vacation with full free benefits at retirement. The City will be paying out in lawsuits for years because of this guy. Every cop in this area hates his guts. Every City firefighter as well. We dont need this kind of leadership in our City government!

Well its better than no leadership like we have now. By the way not all RPD hated him, just the ones who tried to get over and got caught doing it.
