I just saw a huge bald eagle by Revere! It was awesome! I've never seen one before. I didn't realize how big they were, the wingspan was incredible! Anyone else see it? It was about 10:45am. Are they common in this area? Are they endangered?

There are many turkey volchers in that area. There are the occasional hawk also.however It is certainly possible you did see an eagle. There is more wild life in that area than one may think.

There has been at least one pair in the area around the dam for years now. Not far away as the crow (or eagle) flies.

They are magnificent, aren't they.

Thanks. I did feel pretty lucky to see it. Too bad I couldn't pull over and get my phone out fast enough to take a pic. It was weird because it was so darn cold, I wasn't expecting to see any kind of bird out. It was definitely an eagle, there's no mistaking it. I packed my good camera, hoping I'll see it tomorrow. Odd for them to be out in the winter cold like this?

Really? I'm surprised that I've never seen them before now. Golden Eagles are all brown, right? This one was white white.
