Thank god summer is over. Sick of hearing those obnoxious, loud, overpriced, and SLOW Harley's running around town. I love dusting them off with my Jap cruiser that costs half as much.

Well, maybe so. Maybe not.

In my experience, real Harley riders don't brag so. They are proud of their rides, and they respect others. It's a brotherhood, not a contest, after all.

American Iron with metric nuts and bolts and china made electrical harness. Notice how Harley doesn't say anything about being American made in their advertisements anymore?

True, my electraglide has metric parts. Harleys just like anything else, you're buying the name. Nice bikes, but like a Ford they nickel and dime you to death. Everyones entitled to their own preference.

Yup. They are over priced. But with a little work they can wake right up and run with the best of them.

I'd challenge the original poster to a run.

Statistically speaking, Honda sells more Bikes above all Bike manufacturers. Laymens terms more people by Jap bikes than HD. It's a fact. Doesn't make one better than the other. Personally I think the Honda's are better constructed, my HD was poorly built. Just can't get quality in the USA anymore. That being said I still have my HD and ride often.

Harleys are just too loud with too many inconsiderate riders. Riding through quiet neighborhoods late at night. Going from stop sign to stop sign making so much noise just because it makes them feel cool. Most harley owners are R.U.B.'s that are trying be cool as adults because they were nobodys as children. If you want performace by Japanese. If you want expensive and reliable touring go BMW. If you want to support your local mechanic then buy harley.

so what you are saying is that you bought a $15,000 motorcycle and built it for $3000 or more and you'd like to challenge a stock "Jap" bike to a run? I'd take that offer for your tittle. Lucky for you the riding season is over.

I think he's saying he wants to race the original poster's jap cruiser. Im guessing by your response you're thinking jap crotch rocket. Big difference. One "T" in title btw.
