I am starting a children's fun land with arcade games bouncy houses and more and would like to get feedback on starting the business in Rome NY. Is there a need for a facility like this in the Rome area? Would anyone bring there children to a facility with arcade games, bouncy houses, food etc. feedback on this matter would be appreciated thank you in advance

The need is there only if it is affordable to all, and not just a select percent of the population !

I think it would be a good business in Rome. But as the above poster said it has to be affordable. Places are closing left and right in Rome lately. No one has extra cash.

Also I would keep it at 0-12. 14 and 15 year olds tend to be up to no good these days. And must be with a parent or adult to get in.

Thank you for the feedback it's good to hear what people in the local area think. What would you poster believe to be reasonable with unlimited play as well as arcades??

I can't help you there. Maybe check out the same type of places locally and see what they charge. Then charge less.

Its a good idea. i guess my concern would be why an age limit. all children arent up to no good. maybe take the older kids on a trial basis. it would help keep them off the streets and potentially doing stupid stuff.

My son is 13 he would like the arcade part. Would def like it if affordable. Here's the thing. If you make it too cheap it's going to fill up with scum . Too much and no one will come. As long as the place is clean it would be great.

I agree with this poster. Teens would spend a lot of money on the games and food. Like Pepi's in Oneida. Not sure if they are still there but they were for many years. Right now the only things in Rome for the teens are bowling, skating and movies.

There is a proposed age limit to keep out the "yoof-full offendas" and "high school athletes" aka 18+ year old black men who act like they're 12 and try to hook up with underage girls.

I guess it doesn't really matter anyway this place will be filled with crack babies with every learning disorder known to man running wild while they're parents are off getting drunk or stoned where.
