Does that certificate of occupancy cover the entire building? I see they are still working on the building, so maybe Joe and Mark can still pull some of their shenanigans and shut them down again.
How much has to be done to get this place open, must be a bit since the article said mid June

Still time to redeem yourself. Blame it on you superiors. You all know what you did was wrong, witnessed and filmed. Being out of a job in the short run, is better than being in jail for the long run. Juz sayin!

Surprised to see the Rome Sentinel covering this. They will not publish anything to make Fusco look bad.
The only reason they did it was the OD had it. There is more news concerning Rome in the OD than the Rome Rag, and everyone wonders why. That's simple to figure out. Griffo owns Waters and Fusco.

This isnt about Fusco! Mark has been out of control for a long time. Im sure he has lied to his boss and to the city attorney to cover his butt. I cant wait to see what happens.

NOT! Keep guessing you know something. Because you don't. Fusco has been out to get Alex ever since he bought the property on Liberty St. A property where a certain person tried and failed to rig the bid so he could get the place. There are too many people in Rome that knows what went on and who was involved. That is one reason there is so much bad blood is between them, so save it. Fusco and Mark got their Peewee's caught trying to force Alex and the boat place out. Rumor has it he was doing this for two reasons. One reason is because Alex got the place on Liberty and it was get even time. The second reason is Joey's little waterfront project, but the council shot that in the ass (good for them) When that fell through it was back to using his office to screw with Alex using codes, and anyone else to mess with him. Pucker up Fusco, its going to hurt! LOL

After reading all the rumors on this topic, let me point a few things out.

1. Tim Benedict used to represent the stoys in their legal matters before he got his job back with the city. Tim now represents the city. Conflict of interest?

2. The stoys were told they needed to comply with state building codes on a few items so they could legally operate the flea market. Such as, a working fire alarm, fire walls separating the other businesses, and a few other minor issues.

3. The stoys refused to comply and delayed in making the necessary corrections. Therefore the city revoked the certificate of occupancy. The city would have done that to any other business or individual not in compliance.

4. The only legitimate business at the site is the motorcycle shop. They obtained the required permits and inspections and were allowed to continue operation when the rest of the building was shut down.

5. Now I will point out that I DO NOT work for the city or the stoys. So I will now look forward for all of you experts to start calling me names

BULLSHIT. What Fusco put you up to this post or what? I am not calling you names by the way, but you are trying very hard to spin this your way. The building had working fire alarms when they took over the building. They had walls that separated the other work areas already up, and a working sprinkler systems. What codes only apply to Fusco and his buddies? The only thing they did not have was a bathroom that was up to codes. That was it, and Alex went and had all new bathrooms installed, but even then they refused to grant the certificate. If you think people don't know what went on you are full of it. They are all in the same building. DUH if it was no good for Alex then what makes it right for the others? Some of us know why, Fusco screwed with Alex and that is not something you can spin because some idiot left a paper trail. Surprise, or did you just fail to mention that in your post. Don't come on here with your 20 page explanation and think people are going to believe it because its documented in writing. Maybe in Fusco World, he says he did not screw with him. nut he is continuing to screw with him. Explain why suddenly they get their certificate of occupancy, but only after the people in city hall were informed they were about to get served with a suit last week. Now suddenly they get approved? Give me a break.

I forgot. The blue tarp separating the spaces counts as a firewall. So does the plywood wall separating the metal shop. That building never had a working fire alarm except for sprinkler monitoring.
Maybe they got the CO because they complied with codes.

And by the way, I have no ties to Fusco

Rome fd was in the building in early 2012 to find very dangerous condition including illegal building uses and a non working sprinkler system. The building was shut down. That is also in writing.

Why do you care? By the way it is truthful. That has to just be killing you. There is a lot more to the story that the city will present in court.

Dear mr. moronie. That building was approved as NOT needing firewalls. Please check public records. Also please check prior F.D. fire reports for previous years passed inspections, including sprinkler system and alarm. It took many months and much stalling by mark for him to figure out what HE CLAIMS they needed as verses what state codes says. It is a very complicated issue, but, it should not take mark that much time to figure it out. Documented lying is not something the head of codes should be doing. Its called fraud. As for your other statements I have no information. You do make some good points.

P.S. I just checked the state regulations. Did you know that the F.D. answers to codes regarding fire inspections? Throws an interesting spin on the issue.

You are SO wrong when stating this!! Do you think by making statements like this it will set you free and people will believe you?? Opps wrong again!

Mark you might want to make sure Joe knows CPR cause your going to need it when you choke on ur own words!

The stoys have never refused to do anything that would better them or their building!! Bottom line! You "tried" to screw them!! You and ur buddy Joe!!

They say every dog has their day and guess what??? All I have to say right now is "Whatcha gonna do when they come for you?? Bad boys bad boys"

Sorry to disagree with you but here is why. I worked for the company that was hired to remediate the property. There was working alarms, and sprinklers in the building. The building was not dangerous. As for the person stating about the tarps. The whole building is extremely large and an open area, and they wanted it kept that way. The tarps were put up to keep people from going back where people were storing their personal items, such as tools they were using to repair the place and did not want people pawing through their stuff. They were up to keep people out nothing more. So your statement was bogus. There are too many people that know Fusco was just screwing with Alex as payback, and they know why he is doing what he is doing.
