Only ppl that "hate on" our football program are those nerds who wern't good enough and didn't have enough drive to play back in school. Football is a tradition for RFA. The team can be brought back to it's glory day's with a little hard work. Maybe some of the new coaches can seek gauidence from some of the coaching legends that are now retired. Maybe the coaches from 15 years ago could teach these newer younger coaches how they motivated the kids and how they made the wins happen. Either way whether the team is winning or losing it is good for the kids. Would you rather have these kids running the streets or sitting in front of the video games all day? Those who complain about the programs in place for the cities youth will be the first to complain when they are taken away and the kids have nothing to do besides menece your neighborhood.

I say get rid of the program and give the money to the soccer program. This is the only real team of athletes.

The only chance the program has of getting back to it's glory days is if they either find some amazing coaches who are capable of motivating at or above the level that the old coaches did, or they need to somehow get the old coaches involves somehow if they're willing. Kids nowadays are totally different then they were when we were kids though, now they take more pride in starting food fights and cutting down trees than they do in having state champion caliber football teams.
Back in the day, kids who played spent their whole offseasons getting ready for the following season, lifting, trying to put on weight and getting in shape, if they weren't playing other sports.
It's just not like that anymore, with select few exceptions, these kids nowadays are a bunch of snot nosed little pussies. I feel like a bitter old man saying that, but it's basically the truth.
It also wouldn't hurt if they looked outside of the area for coaches who are more qualified, the crop of candidates living in big old Rome is probably pretty limited I would imagine.

When's the last time you saw traffic jams near the stadium, or standing room only in the bleachers for a soccer game? Sounds like you're a little jealous you couldn't, or can't play a REAL sport instead of running back and forth with those cute little shorts and socks on pumpkin..

This program is such a joke. I can't believe these guys consider themselves athletes. The only time I have seen these disasters work on their 40 time is when they have an empty plate in front of them at kings buffet. When you say black hole defense in front of these guys there plugging up the athletic trainers chocolate star fish.

Tony common you never played a sport in your life. Wearing a speedo and doing choreographed wrestling moved does not make you an athlete. If you ever played a sanctioned sport not only would you have road the pine but you also would have failed a drug test.

Actually I played football, baseball, and wrestled in high school. I moved to VVS though during Junior High so I didn't play for Rome. Football I wasn't that good at cause I was relatively small, but I started on both other teams and while I wasn't all state or anything, definitely was able to hold my own. So I guess you kinda look like a retard now, huh? Its ok, I'm sure its not a first nor is it a last for you, you strike me as having the intelligence level of a goat so I won't hold it against you.

Oh I do don't worry lol. Generally the people who make claims like this guy were the ones in high school who were either big deals back then and now are doing nothing with their lives, or were complete losers in high school and still aren't doing shit with their lives now. Either way, its coming from someone who has way too much time on his hands and way too much bitterness in his heart. I kinda feel bad for him actually. Well... not quite, but almost lol.
