Rome needs a grocery store that doesn't accept food stamps. Then if I need groceries anytime in the first week of the month, the shelves will be stocked, and I won't have to shop with mobs of classless people

I love going to Walmart on the first to see the classy people that come out to spend my tax dollars to act like they own the store and buy better food then I do ... After all it is easier to spend other people's money ( SARCASTIC )! You won't ever find a store like that my friend because there are more on assistance then working in this city. Too many generations of leaches that learned how to work the system so all the workers that contribute to this city get to watch the decay of the city slowly kill Rome.

Yes, yes, yes.

You need more of me. EVERYone EVERYwhere needs more of me. China must manufacture shoddy cut-rate merchandise to feed the void that dwells @ the center of the darkness that comprises your materialistic, consumerist, shallow souls.

If the slaughterhouse gets voted through...Rome will really become a freak show. The few smart people left in Rome will have no choice but to pack up their families and move to progressive, vibrant, and successful cities. Rome will be left with the undesirables.

Do these people live in nice home with a nice car a regular functional family?I admit Rome in leach central..Put your blinders on and keep going,if not you will be there the first of the month, buying your stuff. Most of those people are on downward spirals and cant stop.If you keeping watching them you will get dizzy and fall down too.

Rather have Wegmans, and chain stores then more dollar stores that attract filth. I support small businesses but this isn't a big city that many can survive on.

After the credit card scandal that Target is still suffering from (check their latest sales report) it'll be a miracle if Target is still in business by the end of the year. A good fit would be the old Home Depot on Rome-Taberg Rd. but then the store would be trashed by alot of the welfare lowlifes that are infesting Rome now. You would see a ton of shoplifting arrests since half of Rome is on public assistance. And don't even think that Wegmanns would even consider the Utica-Rome area to expand. Our politicians have the locals right where they want them..drawing food stamps and every other type of handout thats available. And you can forget about any nano jobs coming to this area.
