December 21st 2012 the end of the world???

What does everybody think? Is it just a myth or true?

I think it is crap. The Mayans did not have leap year calculated in their calendar. This year is going to have some MAJOR storms. It has to do with solar flares and the fact that this year is a stalled El Nino. This part of New York is pretty safe though. If you look at all the dooms day maps they show on the history channel they all have us in the safe zone. I do believe we should be prepared for some major storms. Look at everyone on the East coast after Sandy. It doesn't hurt to stock up on things like bottled water and protein bars. If you have those two things you are set for a while. We are far enough from the coast to avoid the major flooding like Sandy brought. It never hurts to be prepared. Then you are more likely to remain calm in a crisis situation.

Like I said though due to the leap years the world would have already ended according to the Mayan calendar.

My only concern is if it does happen everyone will be working or at school. It is a Friday. If something terrible happens I would want my son with me.

As far as Christmas,don't shop until the 22nd. That way we don't waste money and with all the looting,you could get a lot for free. If the power is out you won't want to be giving someone a TV or X box. lol

That's my main concern too is if something does happen I do have to work that day and I would much rather be at home with my kids

How could the Mayans predict our end of the world when for one, they weren't even Christian they worshipped a different God and for two in the Bible it clearly states no one knows when God is going to call us home only God knows (: I have faith in my God & I believe everything happens for a reason.
