Yeah, why not, we can have a million of them due to the economy being the best it has been in years... Don't give Fusco any ideas. I'm still getting over the new Griffiss signs.

This has to be the most retarded idea yet. And Gramma Reidel, the board prez, says she would like to study the idea. Why didn't you brain-dead numbnuts think about where you put RFA at the time if you don't like the base location? EDGE charged the district $1 for the land. If this idea is further discussed at future board meetings the whole board needs to resign or be chained to chairs and beaten to death.

This idiotic suggestion should be reason alone for removing people from the school board.

Considering the experiment that is the new site on GAFB has failed, it's a great idea. Get back to a community feel with open campus and an MVCC bridge program (perhaps with an emphasis on nano technology) and teach these kids who suffer from learned helplessness how to act and conduct themselves like adults, and not the prisoners in which they already model from their home situations. Keep up the good work Lou. There still exists intelligent life in Rome, NY

It's ironic your moniker is "Einstein" because your post does not reveal one. To show how idiotic this idea is the MVCC Rome campus prez says they have no intention of participating in this - they're already committed to a $20M expansion of the Rome campus. A state report on 36 upstate districts revealed that 3 local districts were in the Top Ten for quality education - NH, Clinton, & Whtb. Where did Rome & Utica rate? 33rd & 36th, respectively. So its obvious it take more than bricks & mortar to educate our kids. I remember all the pissin & moanin the RTA and school board did 15 years ago about building a new RFA. Well, they cried enuff and $45M was spent and they're still not happy. They have an 11-year old bldg. and they already want to mothball it. Romans....it's time to elect a new school board.

Are you going to pay for it? Or are you going to be the one who begs the already overtaxed citizens to do it?

Wow. Yes this is a grand idea. What the heck is wrong with you Lou? Hard to believe you could even suggest such a thing. And to you Ms. Reidel, "we should study/research" this idiotic suggestion, are you kidding me? Any board member that thinks like this should resign, Imediately!!(LOU).

Not a dam thing wrong with this building or it's location. The problem is the school board and the district administrators, not the building or location.

I guess this means the Rome City School District has already given the command to stop repairing and maintaining the new building they begged years to get? Just like they did with the old place?

And people wonder why Rome never goes anywhere.'Leadership' and idiocy like this are the reasons.

The dumbbells that may be behind this idea can always go out to Rochester and recruit the former superintendent/magician, Francis Murphy. He's the one that did all the high-pressure sales tactics and arm-twisting to railroad this thru the school board onto the voter ballot. And for his reward, the district is paying for his health care benefits for the rest of his life. As the church lady says..." isn't that special"

Goo idea buts lets also build a dome over the football field. That way we could host playoffs here instead of Syracuse.
