When Mitt Romney took over the Salt Lake Olympics they were on the verge of bankruptcy and headed for disaster. They were more than $400 Million in debt and corruption ladened. He turned this totally around making them the most successful Winter Olympics in history and ended up turning a $100 million profit. He gave his share to charity while only taking $1 dollar a yr salary as the CEO.

1$ a year ceo is a very common tax fraud plan. When someone puts their salary at 1$ its so that they can have their tax bracket be on the poverty level while taking their bonuses and benifits which are much higher and hiding them off shore while also having the companies they run give them expense lines that they do all their regular shopping with.

<quoted text> Don't try your class warfare propaganda on me pal. Jack Welch like Mitt Romney is beholdened to nobody. Jack Welch is a man of very high integrity and reputation...being rich is just the fruits of an honorable businessman in both his and Mitt Romney's case. Mitt Romney is one of the most charitable me on the planet. He gave away his entire inheritance to charity. Refused a salary as Gov. as he considered it public service and gave his entire Olympic's profits to charity as well.
Jack Welch has actually been labeled as one of the business men who are a prime example of the monetary inequality in America. He ran his business by pressuring his employees to cut corners and make profits which have led him into a number of scandals at GE. More than that he is an open speaker that he believes the middle class deserve to be kept down and CEOs of companies deserve to be paid as he as stated at least "60% more than their employees". He is paid a retention package form his job in the tune of 2.3 million but organized to take 10 million in extra assets a year and is being scrutinized for it due to his divorce revealing abuses he made of company policy as CEO.

To Really...first off Mitt Romney has always paid his taxes that were legally required by law. There have been zero iota of evidence to the contrary. Obama, leftist and lamestream media distortions, lies and deflections only. I don't care how Conservative Jack Welch has been labled just another tactic of left right out of the Marxist playbook. Obama cares absolutely nothing for poor or middleclass if he did he would have helped his own brother living in a hut in hopeless poverty in Kenya. Obamacare is a direct assault on the middleclass who Obama has nothing but contempt for as we stand in the way of his utopian Marxist one world agenda. Obamacare is full of penalties and taxes that will put millions out of business and destroy the middleclass. The penalties start out small and then esculate to where they will bury everyone who refuses to get on board. Private Healthcare options will be eliminated. If Obama is reelected our freedoms, dreams and way of life will be destroyed. He must be stopped.

Think about it...if Obama has zero compassion and refuses his very own brother how could he have anything but contempt and disdain for the rest of us? If he is reelected he will have all the "flexibility" and we will be totally screwed and our country and freedom as we know it will be destroyed. No enemy of America could ever hope to do the unrepairable and complete destruction Obama has done and will continue to do if given another term.

I never understood how crazy republicans here health care and thoughts of fascism arrive while they hear the words patriot act and thoughts of heroism arrive.....bizarre.

And paying we would love to know if romney is committing tax fraud. All he has to do is release his returns. Obama has been asked to give more documentation than any other candidate in history...yet romney cant be bothered to give the standard amount. All were left with is actions that resemble fraud but no hard proof either way to show or redeem. "any politician that won't reveal his tax records is probably hiding something" George Romney

If we are going to bring up auns and uncles, lets not leave out Mitts, polygamous, pedophile ancestors who moved to Mexico to be able to marry ther many child brides, some as young as 12.Yes Mitt comes from a fine pedigree, with emphasis on the ped.If Mittens doesn't think enough of America to keep his money in Ameican banks, how can he be trusted to think enough of America to run the country the right way. After all his ancestors were pedophiles. If Obama must bear the burdens of his as you say, then surely Mittens can't escape the onus of being a direct descendant of a pedophile and polygamist, who hated America so much he left it.

But it didn’t happen. Although there was a big stimulus bill under Obama, federal spending is rising at the slowest pace since Dwight Eisenhower brought the Korean War to an end in the 1950s.

Even hapless Herbert Hoover managed to increase spending more than Obama has.

Here are the facts, according to the official government statistics:

• In the 2009 fiscal year — the last of George W. Bush’s presidency — federal spending rose by 17.9% from $2.98 trillion to $3.52 trillion. Check the official numbers at the Office of Management and Budget.

• In fiscal 2010 — the first budget under Obama — spending fell 1.8% to $3.46 trillion.

• In fiscal 2011, spending rose 4.3% to $3.60 trillion.

• In fiscal 2012, spending is set to rise 0.7% to $3.63 trillion, according to the Congressional Budget Office’s estimate of the budget that was agreed to last August.

• Finally in fiscal 2013 — the final budget of Obama’s term — spending is scheduled to fall 1.3% to $3.58 trillion. Read the CBO’s latest budget outlook.

Over Obama’s four budget years, federal spending is on track to rise from $3.52 trillion to $3.58 trillion, an annualized increase of just 0.4%.

There has been no huge increase in spending under the current president, despite what you hear.

you are absolutely and totally dispicable!!! A handful of Mitt's descendents did have more than one wife but it was only because so many of the men had been killed by mobs in Missouri and Ohio that there were droves of widows with large families so some of the surviving men took the woman into their own households. You have zero proof of anything more.

Even if what massenaintrist said was acccurate which most of it is not, Mitt can't be held accountable for his ancestors anymore than I hold Obama responsible for his polyigamist father...Barack Obama Sr. What does that have to do with Presidential qualifications? If that is all it came down to I'd lean heavily towards the one who didn't eat dog.

So...which is it. Obama has tried to do things congress doesn't agree with and they blocked it...then destroyed the economy...or Obama has done anything and congress blocks it so obama is out of the equation and ... again congress has destroyed the economy....either way you frame your argument, congress has caused the damage and its republican controlled now so.....yea thank you for affirming the point that its not Obama....
Yeah. Blame Congress. That might work ...

To facilitate to them the performance of their duty, it is essential that you should practically bear in mind that towards the payment of debts there must be revenue; that to have revenue there must be taxes; that no taxes can be devised which are not more or less inconvenient and unpleasant; that the intrinsic embarrassment, inseparable from the selection of the proper objects (which is always a choice of difficulties), ought to be a decisive motive for a candid construction of the conduct of the government in making it, and for a spirit of acquiescence in the measures for obtaining revenue, which the public exigencies may at any time dictate.George Washngton
Well, now that's just a really touching history lesson from the Northwoods Ponytailed Hippie, extolling the virtures of taxes.

Of course, all the folks you quoted were writing at a time when the US federal government was spending well under 5% of GDP. In fact, US federal government spending was well under 5% of GDP throughout the country's early history, with two exceptions: 1) the Civil War (when federal spending ballooned to the unprecedented level of 13.27% of GDP (gasp!) in 1865, and 2) WWI, when federal gov't spending n
hit 24.07% of GDP in 1919. In both cases, federal spending was immediately hacked back to well under 8% of GDP in the year following, when the emergency had passed.

No, it was not until the FDR New Deal Progressives started turning Washington into Big Business for themselves that the US federal government began growing into the wealth-wasting monster that holds the American People in thrall today.

Here's the data: http://www.usgovernmentspending.com/spending_...

Daily Horoscope for June 18

Sagittarius

It's a great day for mixing and mingling with people you always get on well with, so try not to keep yourself to yourself too much as that would be a real shame on a day when you're feeling so convivial and friendly. Speaking of friends, you'll enjoy spending time with them now, especially if you share some core values.
