how many of you would get a ticket for out of date inspection sticker ?

personal injury ,auto damage,, no ticket ??? really both cars had to be towed away and no ticket- was he at the GW bridge too ?

DA Macnamara - what you got to say ? your the chief law enforcer- lets bring in a special prosecutor.

did you see - no address on George street ? where is he hiding in the bushes ? more cover ups-

Judge Gannon or the new guy- special strokes ?

Mayor Fusco- give him a call , ask him for advice ? how's he do it ?

Why was Griffo not Ticketed? If you caused an accident the cops wouldn't show you any mercy.
Contact the Mayor, the PS commissioner, and the Rome Police Chief.

This is absolutely ridiculous!! Why was he not ticketed, because he's blind and gay?? Really, I'd like the answer to that question. Who's the police that were at the scene? Don't know if he went thru stop sign ? Obviously that's what happened, if he's blind, I guess he needs to pay that fake "wife" of his to be his driver and not just be paid to say she's his wife! So glad the other driver went to hospital, sue that scumbag!!

If it was Judge Mellace he'd be in jail already but you people don't know for whom to vote. Your own fault so stop complaining. Maybe next time you'll vote Italian (hopefully Mellace will run again but I wouldn't blame him if he didn't). Learn Rome and vote conservative.

How about the taxi that was rear ended in mid 90's on East Dominick Street near Savoy years ago? Had nothing to do with bad side vision. Maybe double vision? The only thing issued after that "accident" were police promotions.

Total crap

If it was anyone else you would get ticketed for running a stop sign. You would end up with points and pay fines and surcharges. Also now the insurance company can fight paying the victim because they were no tickets issued.

We need to act now. The police need to be investigated. Griffo needs to be turned in to whatever committee handles ethics in the senate. As the public we can not let this die down. He is not above the law.

Sure is....classic example of the position that "Joey boy" holds that he wasn't charged. I'll bet the cops had to call in the station for the patrol sgt., "Should we issue at ticket for running a stop sign?" The Sgt. told them "No". I hope the other party sues his ass off. If his disability is such that it effects his field of vision he shouldn't be driving. And why did the Sentinel have to print his political history...from do-nothing mayor, CE, to do-nothing senator? The Sentinel has always glorified this career politician since he was Carl Eilenberg's "go fer" boy. And don't be surprised if they don't come up with some petty crap to charge the woman who was driving the other car. Wasn't her fault but it doesn't matter. "Joey boy" was hurt.

I agree. Mr. Griffo gets paid to weigh options and render an opinion. He clearly chose to "take the gamble". He lost. He should not be allowed to slither out of it because of his job title. None of us would be able to. There are to many "double standard" issues in Rome as it is. The problem is Mr. Griffo is not high enough on the political food chain to get the right amount of press. Other politicians should be contacted. If they are made aware of this by the public they will be obligated to respond "on the record". Political loyalty runs shallow when the fingers start pointing. Or, Mr. Griffo / The Police can tell everyone why he should not have been ticketed and put this to rest. Voter confidence / turnout is very low. The local political climate can not take yet another hit to the chin. We will all take the hit in the end.
