You just pissed because you got turned down for the job of shoveling shit. I can't understand why because you are good at it.

Two big companies based out of Minnesota are Target & Gander Mountain. Not for sure, just know the Corporate Headquarters are there.

We don't know if it's true but we heard that Friendly's bought it and was going to see if the idea of an upscale (gourmet) Friendly's type restaurant would catch on nation-wide. Apparently Rome has the perfect distribution of people (rich, poor, black, white, athletic, passive, ...). Hope they are successful. They are headquartered in or near Springfield Mass but it would be too expensive to test there so Rome it is.
what a joke

Why would Friendly's close, and then re-invest in the same town- even with a "new" idea. JW...

They sell farm supplies, they also hire people. Which, believe it or not, is a good thing. They sell things other than farm supplies too. I welcome any new business that wants to come to Rome.

Jobs are great, yes. People on welfare or unemployment aren't going to ditch their assistance to work minimum wage.

People with an ounce of pride and self respect might. Have you looked at their pay scale? What business do you want to come to Rome that offers high pay?

Typical response in Rome. People believe that are entitled to high paying jobs being under educated and use to gov hand outs. Yea why work for min wage when you make more sitting on your ass living off others working their asses off.

Any business that offered more than minimum wage would not hire the typical Roman Local. For one thing, passing a drug test would be required.....oops. Then there would be the problematic expectation of a decent work ethic......oops again.

Actually quite a few stores in Rome pay above the minimum wage, including WalMart.
