May the best man with a plan win......its up to us to choose.....the thing that really kills me about Romans is this....when its election day they all sit home and say well my vote doesnt count!!! then when things dont go their way and or have a complaint they wonder why and who get elected.....so get up off your butts...attend a meeting whether it be a budget meeting or school board meeting or even just pick up a newspaper and instead of reading who got arrested or shoplift at local stores etc read whats going on with the city, county, school!!! call your representatives they will listen if enough people call.......its time to make a difference in Rome.....and if you think you can do better than run for office or nominate someone who can........just saying!!!
New Roman One, well said & I couldn’t agree w/you more. Here we have proof that Topix has the potential to be a “media force” in our community rather that a “trash ‘em at any expense” forum. I look forward to your future postings…..

Say what you want but Louise Glasso is running unopposed for the City Clerk spot. I could be wrong but I think the deadline for signature petitions to get on the November 2012 ballot has passed. Oh, well?

An aggressive write- in campaign could be waged. No doubt this year will be a low turn out and she can still be beat with the right organization so get busy!!!!

I could do the job. But would this area overcome their homophobic principles to do the right thing?

She is a bit&h. Even the people who work in her office can't stand her, but they are between a rock and a hard place. They know jobs are hard to find but they can't stand going in to face her everyday. And workers in the other offices refuse to go down there when they know she is there. It is a real shame that no one is running against her this year. She could have been easily beaten.

To my knowledge there has never been a successful write in campain in Rome for any election. The main reason is people can't spell, or it gets thrown out for some technical reasons.

Maybe that former PSC or better known as POS should have run for clerk , that's about his speed. But then again he would likely lose.

So much for good old fashioned traditional family values in Rome eh?

You and your "buddies" shove the homo crap down our throats and then wonder why we don't accept you. Screw you bucko.. You were better off in the closet.

So what would you do in office, post your annoying comments on every post like you do? Figures you are queer, you aren't a real man. A real man wouldn't post stupid comments on every post every single day on topix.
