Al, Shop where you want. I'm pretty sure nobody cares. Your nasty infatuation is a little weird though. Find a new hobby. This one's boring and accomplishes nothing. yawn

You're likely correct that nobody cares where I shop. That doesn't change the fact that Gary is rude, was rude to a friend of mine, and people have a right to know about it. Simple as that. I have as much right to give a negative opinion about Gary, as you have to give a positive one. Consumers spread the word all the time. I'm sure a local merchant has pissed you off with rude behavior, so let's hear about it. People have a right to know.

Nothing has changed there. My sound system is awesome. I bought nearly all the components from Gary. Price was better than mail order and he gave me tons of help when it came to learning how to set up the gain and all about signal path. I couldn't get the New Hartford guys to even wait on me! Sorry haters. It's you that I don't buy.
Do they still sell Mackie speakers? I bought mine there 3 years ago and now I want cases for them. I'm only home for the weekend. They were closed today so I'll go there tomorrow. Good guys though in my opinion. Always helpful and no BS.

To each his own. As Al said he is rude. Maybe he was nice to you. Great, it's as it should be. But some people will take their business elsewhere.

As a business owner myself I can tell you that sometimes not often it's the customer that's the asshole. They come in with all kinds of attitude and I can tell that selling them a car won't be worth it to me in the long run. When they're decent and respectful of my business I give them my best prices and service. When they're not sometimes it's best to thin the herd. I've been in sales for 20 years and a musician since the Beatles got together and I know Gary very well. He takes great care of his customers. I rarely go to New Hartford but I've never had a problem with those guys either. Maybe it's because I get what I give.

I am sure the person who started this gripe in this case is one of Rome's most upstanding people and is the same one I witnessed trying to get a bargain on a package of hot dogs at Wal-Mart stating he wasn't going to use them as food.

Nice to see Rome hasn't changed at all,still the same stuff after all these years.I guess no one has grown up here and all spend too much time writing colorful descriptions of people they are actually jealous of,for whatever reason. Maybe,just maybe they now let the inmates at OCJ get online to air out their swiss cheese brains? My main questions here are;
1) How many of you cotton balled crybabies know a reed from that glass dick you are kissing?
2)Could you define the meaning of "Be sharp or you'll see flat"?
...I thought not. Hurry now the commercial is over and Jerry Springer is about to announce that you were born to a brother and sister from Taberg.

nobody gives a shlt about your stupid music trivia. you act like knowledge of music makes you "educated". any retard with fingers can play an instrument. Lemme see you go to school and be a doctor, then brag about knowing something. You should shut the fduck up and Be sharp before you see stars.

I've been to Gary's Music many, many times. Although he's not a jump-up-and-down to help you type salesman when you walk through the door, Gary was always fair to me. And I hope what the previous poster said about his wife isn't true. She is a beautiful lady. The first time I walked into the store and saw her, I honest to God forgot what I came there for.

Like him or not, I hope he stays in business for a long time. Rome has been losing far too many businesses already.

He's getting old and grouchy. I won't shop there because of his signs re: the Oneida Nation. A shop owner shouldn't express political views - they risk losing customers. Especially when you can buy everything on the Internet.

Anybody who can stay in business in this lousy economy gets my vote. It must be difficult to keep his head above water when nobody has any money. We need to encourage people like this. Shop locally and screw the internet.

I just bought an item for my daughter's school through him and he gave me some good advice and some positive guidance. I liked him. He was helpful. Sometimes people aren't all smiles at first, you just have to nudge the conversations a bit. Doesn't make them bad, just makes them unique.
