If everyone got their pets spayed or neutered and stopped "buying" their precious AKC Purebread dogs places like the Humane Society wouldnt have so many animals there. I've adopted my fair share over the years. Mine are all fixed.

I know this is old but doesn't the Rome Humane society have a new Executive Director I remember reading an ad? Where is this person or is the board totally running the facility now?

Hydro2, right you are. My mistake. My appreciation was intended for the poster who identified themself as the Humane Society President, instead.

They chase volunteers off if they start asking questions.

Then people should stop asking questions and start doing something like making phone calls to inspectors, govt officials( not located in Rome) animal abuse authorities.,make those calls just like you would if it the animals were kids!

A buddy of mine from Rome headed this up as a worthy project for them to do.He says they plan on going back maybe in the spring with the daimler bus guys. They think the labor they gave is a small price to pay to help the animals there. Nice to know there are still people that care.
