That depends. Is it going to be a child's birthday party, or a party for adults that is using the child's birthday as an excuse? Not trying to be sarcastic, it's just that nearly everyone I've ever known from the Rome/Utica area seems to take their children's birthdays as an excuse to get drunk and/or high these days.

If it's not, I'd say take them up by Stokes to the park up there. That's a pretty nice spot this time of year, but you'll want to check the area around the swings and slides to be sure there aren't any ground bees in the sand first.

Good to know, and I didn't mean to seem biting, it's just that I feel like so many parents these days put their habits first and their kids second. Unfortunately other than the park up there I can't think of any other really decent places. As indoor places go I really have no idea as I've always had my kids' parties at home just because it's more convenient. Hope he has a great party!

The attention span is not there for most activities and home parties can be fun if you have the space with good games and prizes that don't need to cost too much. Kids that age love pin the tail on the donkey and musical chairs and you could still do a pinata outside with candy (weather permiting). Also kids also love a good goodie bag to go home with and it does not have to be expensive you can use dollar store items and they will be thrilled.

You can rent the rec center in Oneida for around $150. They have 2 bouncy houses and lots of tricycle type rides. They have a lot of balls and other toys for the little ones. Went to a birthday party with my kids for a coworkers 4 year old and it was a pretty good setup.

Those places are LOADED with germs and God know what - honestly they don't clean those toys and balls like they should. All kids are exposed to a certain number of things but do you really want to go there.... stay in an environment you can control that you know is well maintained. Those tents and play houses are germ and bacteria fests.

Its not like rough and tumble or the other places. The toys aren't even out unless the place is rented out for a party. There is no ball pit there are balls like kick balls, dodge balls, soccer and basketball's. The place was really clean. Why so negative about a place you have probably never seen?[QUOTE=who="iknow "]Those places are LOADED with germs and God know what - honestly they don't clean those toys and balls like they should. My son will be two in February and I am at a loss as to where to have his party. I have a large family and around 8 children I would need space for. Any ideas?

Since he's only two and won't remember it or have any idea whats going on how about you use your brain, skip the party and use the money to pay some of your bills you probably don't pay you filthy slampig.
