I am a diabetic, My landlord told me that he was raising my rent from $400 to $700 a month! I am on social security disability and I canít afford $700 in rent. That would leave me with no money for my medications, heat and lights, cable and food. He left me no choice but to move out. I keep looking for a place and because I am on social security disability my credit score is low and no one (in a decent apartment)wants to rent to me.

You need to find a part time job. You should cut expenses turn the heat down, buy a digital antenna for $10 and get the cable turned off. You are on disability and cable and internet are luxuries that you can no longer afford. Get used to it as the cuts are coming. If you can post on Topix you can get a job plain and simple.

Go rent a room from and live with the Crack Heads. Cock Roaches crawl and Bed Bugs bite. You deserve to live that way as you don't want to work.

I'm sorry to hear that. Do you have Facebook? If so, ask everyone to keep an eye out for a cheap apartment or place a free ad online telling what you're looking for but be careful with whom you meet. Is your landlord willing to work anything out with you? Did you have a yearly lease or month to month? He can't raise it until your lease agreement is up, but anytime if it's month to month. Are you a senior citizen? If so, there might be some extra help for you, check with Social Services, Office of Aging, Community Action, or Catholic Charities. Don't get discouraged, something will work out for you, just keep looking.

Your landlord cannot raise your rent 75%, it's against the law. You should get ahold of legal aid. I believe you have recourse against this person. You might be entitled to moving expenses and other monies and he/she might be in line for a fine or worse. If what you are saying is true, do it. If you were a bad tenant he was just trying to get rid of you. It's your call now. What's it gonna be? I'm calling your hand.

You're an idiot. Unless you have a lease, landlords can raise your rent any time they want to as long as they give you 30 days notice. If you don't like the change, you have the option to move out.

Are you a diabetic due to heredity? Or because you sat around and filled your gut with Garbage GMO foods for the past 20 years and had no self discipline to exercise? from crying post it sounds like it's probably the second one, as you lack discipline and drive to have control of your own life and finances.
