Where was Mellace, not at parade that I could see, probably hanging with convicted felons like when he was getting political signatures with JK! Just what a judge needs to do.

He had to be there. All those red, white and blue balloons were being handed out for him. I don't know what he looks like so I couldn't say for sure.

Why can't Rome NY celebrate the 4th of July with the rest of the country? Do they really think they're that special? Or are they really suffering from a severe time lag?

Honor America Day. It's lame.

Conflict of interest. If Mellace becomes judge him and his brother will control the courts. Just another reason Rome sucks.

I like Honor America Days. You can go to other events on the 4th then enjoy this one at the end of the month. Plus the parade goes right past my house. This was my first year living on the parade route. IT WAS GREAT.

That would be why I saw them passing out balloons but didn't know if he went by. I am North of Linden. The little kids all looked very happy to get free balloons. My little neighbor was lucky enough to get a beach ball from Gannon too. He really raked in because he is a cute little 4 yar old.

You are such a jack a s s!!!!!!!
The parade committee sets up where you start. It goes by seniority. The more parades you are in, the better spot you get in the order.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, and you surely have a great vantage point for the parade.

Still, I'm wondering WHY Rome does this instead of celebrating the Fourth of July. Anybody got any historical perspective on this?

No need to get your panties in a knot, and certainly to need to be nasty (although I realize you might not be able to express yourself otherwise). I know the parade has been at the end of July for years. I am asking WHY Rome adopted this tradition. If you don't know, stick around and perhaps we'll both learn something.

Why do Sheeple celebrate holidays and birthdays anyway?
