pitbulls are great if raised in the right hands. They are a very powerfull breed that demand a lot of play time.Unlike people think there very loyal to there owner, and if you look on turn rates for dog's pitbull arn't even in the top 3!Overall a great breed and just misunderstood!!

are you crazy. A girl I know raised 2 , they had pups, she sold all of them but one female. one day while her and her hubby were joking around the father dog jumped up and bit off her husbands ear. its ben reattached luckily. a few months later the same dog jumps the girl and bites all up and down her arms lucky it didnt lock up and the one smaller pup was going to join in and it was the female that lured th 2 away, if not who knows -maybe she would be in another place besides the emergency room. They dont stitch dog bites unless its to the bone because they have to drain out. this dog was put down-there was NO bad treatment of the dog and it turned ugly. NEVER make this a family dog!

i think thats a made up story. And even if it isnt you can find storys about and breed dog that will do the same thing if a stranger makes a move at the dogs owner duu.that is one of the reasons you have a dog is for protection.i think you just have bad blood with the breed it sounds more like bullsh!t

Trust the story-its true- shes my friends cousin I know the girl and her father had a 100 pound dog of the same breed and it was good around babies and everything and used to jump up and even lick their faces-OMG- one day it jumps through a screen door and rips open the mail lady's arm-37 stitches and the US PO said no dog or NO Mail! and that dog was flown to the owner with good breeding and look what it did!. Why in hell would she make up a story like that!

True but theres more "HORROR" stories with this breed because of the locking of their jaws.

Well all I will say is any animal will attack or bite when they think the person their attached to are in trouble playing or not, and it's not a bad breed just bad owners hell you can make a poodle mean and attack people if you beat it enough. My brother has 2 pits are they are very well behaived dogs and have never even attempted to bite any one but they also think their babies to will crawl up on your lap when you sit down.

first off i've had a pit for about 4 years now, and yea she bites...WHEN i say to and STOPS WHEN i say to and she's only playing, not enough to actually hurt me...pit bulls may attack when they feel threatened or that they need to protect the owner and what not...ALL dogs can jus one day snap, but when that happens no one thinks nothing of it, but because a pit bull bites somebody then all hell breaks loose and everybody throws a fit, its not fair...,i kno someone that was bit by a german shepherd for no reason, and my brother got bit by a doberman for jus walking past it one day...no one tried to put these dogs down, had it been a pit bull im sure those dogs would have gotten put down..and then of course there is the jerks that fight pit bulls, train them to attack anyone, abuse them yada yada and they ruin it for everyone...

you'll have to excuse me for rambling, im a bit tired.

This is true I love the damn breed but am scared of it I heard no matter how good you treat them one wrong move one wrong day and they can do some severe damage. I also know some poepl own them right now with no problems- I guess all dogs can attack and bite especially if they are inbreeds. But you hear a lot on the news about these pitbulls.

Uhh, yeah. They don't have lock jaw, you moron, because that's a medical condition. However, when they bite they have the capability of locking down on their victim. I truly hope you own a whole BUNCH of pitbulls. They have a way of performing natural selection for the rest of us when they turn on their brainless owners. Look it up. You can find everything online, right genius?

My best friend has a Pitt and he's a good dog. A big baby basically. I think it just depends on how they're raised. But then again any dog can fly off it's leash, not just Pitbulls. My neighbors dog is a Mastive-Retriever mixed and if she doesn't know you she will go nuts until you're gone. She hadn't seen my boyfriend in awhile so she didn't recognize him and she wanted to attack him. She barked and barked until he went away.

Pits are a fine breed, the problem is, that too many people don't understand what kind of training they need. They aren't an animal that can be allowed to be the boss the way most of us raise our dogs, and cats. They have to be taught to be obedient to human command.

Nothing wrong with pitbulls, just the people that own them. All in how you raise them.
