This can't be blamed on Fusco. Why didn't the Plows get out earlier??? At least get the main drags plowed.

Agreed! The streets have been a mess all day and still are early Saturday morning. My neighborhoodÂ’s streets have yet to be plowed. Last winter with the layoffs at DPW and all the talk of a slowdown by the employees it never happened & they did a great job keeping the streets clear. A new mayor and not a snowplow in sight; just coincidence? It's not like we've had a bad winter to date.

5:45 am and my developement still hasn't been touched by a plow. Don't move to north Rome cause you don't get anything for your tax dollar.

Well all I have to say where the streets of Rome are concerned is "same old, same old, nothing ever changes." If it's anything like the way they work (put in their time) during the summer, then I understand. After all, there probably isn't enough room in the truck for 4-6 people at a time. Anytime you go past any work site in the summer there are at least 4-6 guys standing around trying to figure out whose job it is to do what!

Rome has never taken care of their streets in the winter. So yeah, I'm sure now it's Fusco's fault. I lived in Lee years ago. Their streets were always plowed. Then drive down into Rome and they would be a mess. They are full of pot holes and never plowed. But let's blame the new mayor, after all he has been in office for 2 whole weeks!

I tell all the boys to wait to plow so they can get their overtime in ... after all, I owe them for my mayoral victory.

the mayor had all of the plow drivers report to work at 1 a.m. Saturday morning (was originally supposed to be 2 a,m,) and they worked an 8 hr. shift.
