Grandes Pizza in Rome is disgusting and they have the worst service.
1. My bf and i called to place an order for a large pizza and some hot wings (the person taking our order over the phone was very rude)
2. After about a hour and a half the delivery guy finally shows up
3. As the man was about to leave we noticed he didn't give us our soda, so we stop and said "you forgot our soda" then he said " I didn't forget it i dropped it and it exploded on the ground" but if we didnt catch on he was going to charge us for the soda anyway. How the hell does that make since?
3. When we finally get inside and we are ready to eat... we find that all the cheese on the pizza had shifted to one side during the drive because the retard must not know to keep the pizza flat so that doesn't happen.

4. Then when we looked at the wings all the sauce that was supposed to be in the box was not, all the sauce was in the plastic wrap around the box? How the hell does that even happen?

5. Then after having all this happen and we tried their food it was the worst pizza and wings i have ever had... So we didnt eat any of it and we wasted $25.00 I WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN any one that does eat there after they read this gets what they deserve

Thats quite a story! Not that I am saying it wasny true but if it was me I would have gone down there and demanded my money back! I prfer Tonys and never tried Grandes but heard the subs are good and the place is spotless. Delivery people dont get paid much usually a little more then tips and sometimes you get jerks that could care less how the food gets there and maybe Grandes didnt know he did that -turn the pecker head in!!
yes they do sux

Grande's is on Floyd Ave right down from Bucky's. I've eaten from there a few times. There are days when the food is really great and I have had a few times where the food was below par. I guess it depends on who's working that day. I would have called the manager if my food showed up in that condition. The problem is that the Manager might not be aware of and you need to make him aware so he can make the proper adjustments to his staff and policies. If you don't complain then the service will never get better.

The manager is just as rude. I witnessed him telling a lady to not come back to his restaurant because she said it didn't look so good. Then he accused her of just wanting her money back and complained about it openly in front of everyone and the staff got in on it too. So as far as complaining to this guy, it will not do any good. The situation was so uncomfortable for me I will never go back there. The Grande's in Sauquoit is the best of all of them and the manager at the one in Rome should not be a part of this chain.

Sorry, I didn't complete my sentence. She said her pizza did not look good so her family did not eat it and she brought the whole pizza back and he said it looked fine and asked her what she wanted him to do about it. So he became angry and was short with her kind of throwing a childish temper tantrum slamming the register shut, gave her a refund for the pizza and the rest is in the above post. Oh yeah, and he admitted that this woman had a large order and said she just didn't want to pay for the one pizza because they didn't eat it. Seems a little irrational to me, but nonetheless, I will never go back there and he lost a few customers due to his own actions because I told everyone I know not to go there.

If you really wanna know the real story those people that COMPLAINED about the pizza come in to complain at least once a week but yet they still come back for the food. I work there and have seen my manager give endless food away to that family and I guess they thought they could do it all the time. So ya I could see why he would get angry like that especially during the rush hours ya he could of handled it better but after 3 or 4 times the same thing is rediculous.

Call Corporate? The Manager is the OWNER. They are a family chain of three restaurants. The food is not good. Go to Tony's on Jay!

I went to Grande's one time with my kids, we ordered a slice each and some wings. The wings were ok, kinda fatty, the pizza I had was so horrible. I ordered a garlic slice. When I told the waitress she told me it was made at lunchtime and reheated, (this was at 7pm or so). The slice was so old and nasty and she made no excuse for it and told me basically it was old. She never made any attempt to make me a fresh slice or offer me anything to replace it. The entire time I sat there with my 8 year old and 10 year old the waitress was hanging out with teenage boys at a table about how wasted they got the night before and using foul language. Real nice. I will never ever go back.

I'm willing to bet money that the loser who started this post is the idiot that runs Slices pizza. They keep starting stupid posts on here, and then when people who know them try to warn other people about them, they have the posts deleted. True scum! They bash every other pizza place on here, thinking that everyone will end up at their place...(That's how trashy people think, they're not too bright). Anyhoo, I think I'll stick with Grande's or any other pizza place. People that are deemed unfit by NY state to run a daycare center and ordered closed are being trusted to make food for you and your families??? Yea, I would go there...(Yes, that was sarcasm you just smelled). LOL
