It's amazing how people who appear to have a spine simply cave like a girl on prom night if it will make their party happy. They, nor their party will ever have my vote again. Too bad for the local ones who still have a hint of promise. This will hurt them too!

Yes it's amazing that after more than 30 public forums or town hall meetings on health care reform Congressman Arcuri voted to reflect all he learned. Seems to me all voices were heard, not just the ones that screamed & cried & made fools of themselves. This was an historic day. I'm having a lovely cup of tea now and will sleep very well.

Please remember to get Sarah on board. She was so helpful in the 23rd! Stay with the fear and alarmist tactics as they're working so well for you. Say, has anybody seen Arcuri's birth certificate? uh oh....

I agree that it was certainly a very historic day. Unfortunately, the work is far from done. There are two more steps. Getting a single bill through the Senate and then getting a conference committee bill through. I am glad that Congressman Arcuri went and supported the Health Care bill. The right swears that for casting this vote, they will have his political scalp. And they may. But I like to think that maybe his political fate will be closer to what looked like was going to happen with Senator Wellstone of Minnesota before he was tragically killed. For those who might not remember, President Bush called for a vote on the U.S. invasion of Iraq in October, 2002, even though the invasion didn't take place until March, 2003. This just happened to be right before the congressional election in November, 2002. Wasn't that quite a coincidence? Out of those Senators who were up for re-election in 2002, Wellstone was the only one to vote no on the war even though it was considered in his political interests to vote yes. He was slightly trailing Norm Coleman going into that election. After his vote, his poll numbers actually went up. A number of people who supported the war in Minnesota said that they now actually favored Paul Wellstone because they admired his integrity in taking a vote on the war that was clearly not in his political interests. Unfortunately, he then died in a plane crash on October 25, 2002. The final part of the story was that when Al Franken was finally seated as Senator from Minnesota, he went into the seat that had been Paul Wellstone's seat. And when he took the oath of office, he used a Bible that had belonged to Paul Wellstone. In a similar way, I hope that this vote will not cause the end of Congressman Arcuri's political career.

Please take the time to watch my Mike Arcuri get the Sh*t kicked out of him on Chris Mathews Hardball. Mike had no clue and what a shame.

He is very embarrassing. I hope many voters saw how uninformed he really is.

I attended his mvcc town meeting and it was staged for the most part.Even then his mind was made up! Lets Keep it simple they cant get flu vaccine how do expect to run health care. This will be the first county where your born and can go to jail if you cant afford health care.Accuri will never make his next term.

Not sure about your math skills but you do need major help with those abc's. When morons jump on a bandwagon they do very little to help that cause. You want to help? STFU

I dunno wat everyone is so excited about - it's not like congress has any intention of actually paying for any of this stuff. Hell, while we are spending money we don't have, I have a couple of requests myself.

Keep it simple? You're (notice spelling) about as simple as it gets. Let's start with periods & question marks. They are very helpful when writing if you want to be understood. Once you grasp their correct use we'll move on to basic spelling and grammar. I suspect you'll never get to the point where we address those run on sentences but you have to start somewhere. Sesame Street still airs daily. You should at least try.
