no jobs

Rome, NY

#1 Apr 30, 2014
No jobs around and your lucky if you even get a minimum wage job. NY is about the worst state to find a job or decent job and yet Rome is about the worst. What does that say about our government and especially Rome's? What is it going to take to fix the lack of jobs around here? How about we start by getting rid of these government jobs that rely on businesses and its workers to pay for government jobs. Also that would send a warning to other government employees and decision makers. Also since a lack of jobs we need a lack of goverernment to hold businesses and people back from taking our money.

That is what happens when your political leadership hinges all of its success on nano technology that does not exist.

There is and will be no chip plant and what their building at SUNY IT is just another college classroom with no private investment.

I applied for the 3 professional design jobs today in the area that all pay more than my current FT + Benefits job that is pretty decent. Soooo I'll have to disagree with you. What's it going to take to fix the lack of jobs around here?

you. you going back to school to learn a new craft for incoming nanotech startups. you learning how to work in insurance. you. starting a business that is tax free for 10 years backed by a grant for seed money that receive after learning how to write a proper business proposal. You. installing clean and solar energy on private homes.

but... I guess it really could be everyone else's fault except for yours.

I call your bluff. Where in Rome are you applying for these professional design jobs and why are you leaving your current job? Nobody is hiring here, including on the base. I take that back. Birnie Bus is always looking for drivers ....
