I used to see this old guy they called Paulie every day at McDonalds having coffee. I haven't seen him in months so I asked several people and here is a list on answers I got.

1. He had a heart attack and is in a nursing home.
2. His cancer came back and he is very sick. I remember that he had a catheter from previous bout.
3. He moved to Utica.
4. To top that off several people have said he got hit by a car but was ok and family put him a group home.

DOES ANYONE KNOW THE TRUTH?

yes the old guy that used to ride his bike up and down black river bv and go drink coffee at mcdonalds, dunkin donuts, dipppin donuts and burger king hot hit by a car. i was afraid that this would happen as he even drove his bike in the middle of the road in a snow storm
when someone blew the horn he just thought they were waving at him. now he is a cripple and in a nursing home for rehab in utica. this happened a few months ago and he will never be able to ride his bike again i was told.

He drove a car for many many years. He worked at Revere Copper for 38 years and only rode a bike for exercise after he had a stroke. He quit smoking and lost alot of weight and was actually doing pretty well. How many years did you hamburger flippers drive or even work ?

You can't be talking about the same guy - this Paulie stutters, laughs a lot, stares at girls and used to hang around Denny's, Dunkin Donuts, and Spressos when it was open on James Street. I don't think he ever worked.

That is a shame, I liked him - he was funny. You never know what life will hand you. That is why I hate when people put others down that are different in some way.
