Only if James Brown graduated From Chenango High School in 2007, then Yes, James Brown was arrested by a Broome County Sheriff.

Actually maybe you clones need to move on. I hear there is a cat in a tree on Dominick St. Go get your mayor to climb up a tree, and while he is there stay there.

The only political exorcism this city needs is for Joey to do what he says what he was going to do.

I don't believe right now it matters. No I am not a poor looser as you put it, and no I am not looking for Joe's head on a stick either. I am only hoping that mmistakes of the past are not repeated. From what I see and read I don't see this happening. I
see quite a few people that by any standards do not need to be back in city government. What I am intrested in seeing is if the present council re-approaches the origional argument on limiting the mayors powers. Especially in the mayor's power to establish positions, and pay. If you remember this is what started the riff between the former mayor and some of the former councilors a few years ago. Now if that is re-introduced, I want to see if Joe fights the council on it as Brown did. I don't think it will happen since Joe basically owns the councilors, and they have no choice but to back Joe on any decision he decided to make. In the long run I feel the current adminstration will continue or exceed on some policies, and enter into some back door deals that in the long run will cost this city dearly.

I would like to know the full story between Brown and how former deputy police chief Pat Miller was fired. Miller went on to sue Brown and the city but nothing more was ever said. What did Miller do to lose his job? Anyone know?
Maybe you should be more concerned with this story since it was swept uner the rug by Masucci.

Here's one for you !
How about 70,0000 plus benefits for a plain clothes boy in blue that caught getting booty on duty and more. Rather than discipline or fire him, he was allowed to be out sick for almost a year collecting full pay and benefits until he could retire with dignity. Now that same person is out putting up Brown signs all over town. I don't know who should be more embarrassed about this, Brown for allowing this to happen or the now retired p.o. that is putting up the signs as payback. Shame on you both! Sounds like wasted tax payer money to me. Not saying his priorities are wrong, but he has fired people for less!

Oh best you can come up with? You keep talking about the 70,000 for PSC but I noticed no one is talking about the ones who got caught on the conference table after hours. Instead you put them back on the payroll working for Fusco. How come we don't see that? Get a new story that one is so old its on stone tablets.

it would be nice to have a full investigation into how masucci and brown , used rotolo, to investigate all the public officials in rome and the report back to them. ie:benedict, rogers, bellacosa, vescio, johnson, nash, miller, theraut and any others. how far did there desperation for power and control effect so many lives .. would encourage fusco to start a commission to investigate this.
The irony of the whole thing is that when he was investigating them , who was watching him ?

Published in the Rome Sentinel March 2010

By STEVE JONES Staff writer
The city has returned a suspended police officer to active duty without disciplinary charges, Public Safety Commissioner James F. Masucci said today.
Former police union President Joseph Rotolo was suspended from duty with pay on Monday, March 8.
"It was handled administratively," said Masucci today. "His suspension was lifted yesterday. Itís a personnel matter that we canít get into." There will not be any charges of wrongdoing, he said. "It was settled internally, which is not uncommon."
Rotolo, who Masucci said has not been suspended before, was suspended with pay from March 8 until the end of the day Tuesday.
Rotolo, former president of the Philip S. McDonald Police Benevolent Association, is a member of the departmentís Special Investigations Unit, a group of four Rome officers and a member of the county Sheriffís Office focusing on drug crime. He joined the department in May of 1991, and was promoted to investigator in November of 2000. His salary this year is $64,920.
