welcome to the new age

Some people that oppose the vote. Are the same people that would be complaining about the size of the welfare line. When in fact the additional (up to 250 hires) in line do in fact work. However the "meat packing plant" doesn't pay a livable wage. So the gov't has to make up the difference. What a life.

Perhaps you should watch THIS. http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/river-waste/
They had enforceable laws there too. Only no one enforced them.
I understand your point, but there are rules, regulations, standards that MUST be enforced...watching a video only diminishes that a Slaughterhouse/Meat Packing Plant is needed in Rome. Okay so the location may not be ideal, but there are areas within Rome that would support this business.
Keep it out

That River of Waste documentary is only half of it. When the facility ends up importing cheap, compliant labor to staff it, most of whom won't make enough money to pay much in taxes at all those who do cover their costs. That includes housing, schooling, medical care, incarceration, and everything else the government loves to give away at your expense. And if you complain about it they'll just tell you to STFU and pay your taxes.
