they are on facebook begging patrons to come order there food because the are "struggling and arent making any money". And that they will try to serve us as long as they can....sounds like another failing business...but a little desperate to be asking people to please come and eat there hahahahah

Im not saying the food is bad...we did eat there once...it wasnt anything I would go back for...but Im just saying its a little bit classless to be begging for patrons business on facebook....I just dont think a "business" should have wrote a statement like this for the world to see hahaha

its real here is the incert from their page on facebook.

Dear Friends of Trace's Rome, we here at the restaurant are facing a dire time as a new business. Our sales are not meeting our expenses. We are asking that if you can please come support and spread the word to keep this new and innovative business alive. We undertand that that this is a hard economy but we look forward to serving you for as long as we can.

Amazing that people will find fault with anything. Sorry for your thinking, but in my opinion this "statement" is no different than any other form of advertising. Its as equally desperate as thinking putting a celebrity in a commercial will get us running out to buy their product. I take this as a MUCH MORE HONEST approach, than that of most advertising! Truth is when you drive to east rome, you can understand why any business would struggle down there! I say kudos trace's for trying, and for being honest, as opposed to putting out an ad with lies trying to drum up business!!

you know ppl will always find something to gossip about how would you feel if it was your business. I know for a fact that these owners have put everything they have into that resturant. If you didnt like the post on facebook you could have just over looked it and left it alone or just left a little comment saying that you thought it was a tasteless move but like all other immature ppl you come to topix and hide your name to post garbage about something that you could have just left alone. I think that you are classless as you put it for doing what you did.

who ever started this post has way too much free time on their hands, more than likely is unemployed, i love their food, their good people and to support a good honest buisness i will make a point to order from them, times are hard and I really do not want to see them close, they offer things no other restaurant does: where else can u take a burger challenge when you finish it its free....their food is homemade and good, it doesnt taste like it came off of a sysqo truck like any other private restaurant in rome, i think your bashing of them is going to back fire because right now you are advertising by this post, so I urge the public to try this place out their AntiSalad is to die for, their portions are huge and i see nothing wrong with asking for support in bad times ..

i just love the way our local people have inbred with the prison families turning into animals themselves . this is the real deal a real welfare town . if you dug half the people up at st johns they would be face down ashamed of what their families have become the kind of people they all warned to stay away from . yet you all ignore it . look away young man all roads lead away from bleak rome go look and see there are much much better places to call home .

I think one of the biggest problems is that to many people run their mouths about "whats wrong with the people of Rome"....rather than being a part of the solution. YOU, LOL, fall into that catergory. Ass enough to run your mouth about them, and lazy enough to do nothing about it!!

LOL, I agree with everything you wrote, all of central new york is nothing but degenerate low-life, prison spawn who suck the life out of everyone and everything around them and are happy living the scum lifestyle. I moved away years ago and came back recently for a short visit. I would rather be kidnapped by al queda than live in central new york ever again.

I pray for an epidemic of disease or natural disaster to wipe the area clean. Knowing the hygiene habits of the average person in that area, it would more likely be the former.

well then, rather than running your mouth about it, DO something to help change the culture. Oh, to much work...easier to sit on your percieved perch and bad mouth people huh....we ALL see....you are just like most other romans, thinking you are a better person than you really are...

Hey LOL there is no "culture" in Rome unless you count doing drugs, f*cking your family members, and having the same IQ as someone with down syndrome a culture. You are probably the queer who runs that failed little slophole.
