The codes inspector was inspecting my construction (My wife and I are building our house ourselves) and saw my wife's used tampons. Apparently they are classified as medical waste and have to be disposed of by burning in an approved furnace. He and his brother have a business on the side and sell and installed these furnaces for about $25,000. The price is not too bad but I thought I'd ask if anyone on Topix knows anybody who sells and installs for a lower price. The codes inspector is giving me the weekend to decide or he'll have to disapprove the construction. Would have to be somebody willing to work in the Syracues area.

I have six daughters and my wife's sister moved in with us so I bought one of those medical disposal furnaces but I didn't think it was required by code. They are a good thing to have but I only paid $10,000 for mine 3 years ago.

This is the one the codes inspector recommended:

http://www.gemm.com/store/CLOVER/item/-SMALL-...

It's about $20,000 so I assume he and is brother are charging $5,000 for the install.

Let me know what you think.

I think you are a raving lunatic myself. There is no way CODES or any other government agency is going to require or demand anyone to install a medical waste furnace in their home. Are you by chance related to Fusco? Because stupidity apparently runs in certain gene pools and yours must have been swimming at the same shallow end as his.

ask the 50% female population. This is just about the stupidist thing I have ever seen on Topix. What do you do with your used condums, burn those?
You really need to get a life and stopwith these silly excuses to see your name (ok your screenname) in writing?

anyone as dumb as you are can not afford to build a new house or get a woman to marry you. advise... take used tampon and shove up your nose until it turns off the remaining brain power you have left.

The inspector told me this was a new code that takes affect on January 1, 2013. Since my house won't be complete until summer 2013 I had to install this furnace or risk having the house torn down after completion. With seven woman who will live with in in the house (wife and daughters) he estimate more than 100 used tampon's and or pads a month (more than 1000 per year). He was concerned that I would put them in the garbage and the town would have to deal with them. He seemed pretty serious.

I recommend eating them! Lets face it who doesn't like gravy and all good gravy comes from meat juice and blood. So I say wring them out into a nice hot skillet and add urself some flour and butter and your ready to eat like a king.
