Okay, I'm a halloween fan so here is my opinion on local halloween things...

1.) This is a MUST-SEE Cayo Industial on Broad St. In Utica. VERY SCARY More for adults :) Price is $10, or $15 for BOTH attractions

2.) Rome Art and Community Center. Cute place for kids, many good cheap activities. Did not go into the haunted mansion yet this year.. so not sure how it is. went into it last year and it was alright

3.) VVS Hayride in Verona Good hay ride! Long lines though usually so dress warm

4.) Utica Zoo Spooktacular. Really fun for kids. Lots of activities to do as well.

5.)?? Not sure what else this area has.. however know of Fort Ricky and eerie canal having things, and sterling renaissance festival has their whole place decked out for halloween and has haunted hayrides/walks/mazes.. however is pricey and a good 1 1/2 drive !

With the increase in insurance, they just couldn't make any money. The same reason the pumpkin farm went under.

they closed because the owner (the husband) died. the wife and son tried to run it for a while but it just wasn't the same.

The Erie Canal one is for little kids (and the place is a death trap), Utica zoo sucks and the RACC is closed as of last weekend.
