Because a bunch of parents whose kids wouldn't have a chance to play with any other coach went and rallied for him because they were a bunch of suck butts

He's only got a couple/few good kids. That can only get u past poor teams. It wont take long for the other teams to figure out who's good and try and shut them down. RFA has a much harder schedule than they did last year! I still gotta support them though, ur a dick if ur part of this town and dont. The kids have absolutely no say or control over the board or coaches. I've heard that the program is much more strict and demanding this year though. Let's see how it goes.

Any good coach knows how to Taylor a team to the players strengths and weaknesses and knows how to coach kids up. Swavely is not capable of that , he has had some of those kids for the whole time he has been coaching and he sucks. It's obvious rfa football will continue to suck if he gets to stay. It's not fair to the kids and the city of Rome to have to go through the horrific coaching of rfa school

That is the truth! And no one realizes this? You cannot make kids be athletic, it's either there or it's not. Nothing or nobody can change that fact. What doesn't everyone get? There is no talent anymore, everyone needs to figure that out and not blame a coach because obviously Swavely puts the time in, is dedicated, it really is not his fault. And if you knew anything about sports you would Know this is true! I am a woman that Has no son playing anything anymore, and I know there's very Little talent left! All you have to do is open your eyes and see that, so stop with the name calling of the coach and just be supportive. Maybe you dads should have played some ball with your sons when they were younger and they would have had a little more skill now, as my husband did when my kids played their sports, because that was the last year of talented kids. Sorry but it's the truth!

I don't get it. Maybe because I have no interest in sports, but aren't extracurricular school activities suppose to be about teaching social skills, team work, focusing kids on a healthy goal, and having fun? Who cares if this Swavely person loses them all, and if they were all lost why would this be the poor bloke's fault? What exactly would that say about Rome? I guess my measure of success would be different. If the team was full of talent, how likely is it members of the team play professionally? In regards to the belief if dads just threw the ball more frequently with their children more talent would be produced, well simply put, this is a ludicrous notion. Recruiting the talented kids to play on a high school team? Silly.

It all falls on the AD. He makes these pathetic decisions, and they seem to be all wrong. Time to not only hire a new super int., but a new AD too. #nobrainsboxofrocks

There is a lot of talent on the team. I seen a few practices. One issue is the kids have bad attitudes n think they run the show and there is no team work or team chemistry. Coach is fine and does ok with what he's given. One thing to remeber is RFA sports are very political. All who you know, how much money parents donate and if you have a parent that's a teacher or works in the district. If that's the case then you will have a great athletic career in RFA

Well said. Attitudes are on all teams and comes from mommy or daddy having their input and getting their child on a team. No appreciation or respect. Parents fault. You see it on every team with a few. Parents- your chance of your child becoming pro is 0. You should worry about their life goals, career path and raising them respectful.

Lmao....what an ignorant comment. Ur pussy hurt? A large reason so many kids in the area aren't winning or reaching there potential....with negativity like that infecting them like a disease from hometown clowns like you, it's a wonder the kids have the courage to go out and play on the field. Risking their well being and giving their time. They have more balls and pride than some little whiny bitch like you typing shitty comments behind your computer screen, that couldn't be a great athlete and wanted to so bad. Just cause u couldnt make it, doesn't mean you have to cut down children. If everyone had your thought process, there would be NO pro athletes. Your comment is ignorant and unfounded. Here's the layman's term, because I know you won't understand what I'm talking about....you're a dumbass. Nuff said, point made.

Name calling very mature. Acting like a thug , you nailed it. Try re reading especially the last sentence or do you need me to spell it out for you? I'm not responsible for kids not reaching their potential, I'm saying their parents ARE. Giving them false hope and act like well, probably you on the sidelines. I can imagine with a trash mouth like your showing the screaming ,yelling, blaming refs. How obvious. I've played plenty of sports, not that I need to explain to you. Never been cut, played the sport to enjoy it, not like today. Again maybe take a growing up and respectfulness class , with that trucker mouth I can only imagine what family you were raised in. I bet your mother is proud too. I hope to God you don't have children, because again, I highly doubt they are being raised with- respect, brains,or going anywhere in life. Go back to sitting on your couch, eating Doritos and watching Jerry Springer because YOU, hiding behind the computer, show exactly that's life you lead. Or maybe go get a degree and learn the English language, not the thug/project language. Smile ,it makes life do much better.

You help make my point, ignorance. Totally disregard the post as a whole, and and ignore any point that is made. You jump straight to the last sentence because you feel it's your best chance at attacking me. If you only knew who I was and who my kids where, you would be eating your words and I would gladly watch. But, out of respect for them, I will remain anonymous on here. I was just tired of seeing idiots like you on here spewing your infectious disease when you have ABSOLUTELY no clue of what's going on. You here this person say this and another say that and feel that is enough to form an intellectual opinion on the topic. You are not alone.

Are you all missing the point. It's not about always winning. He is not stupid. Some of the boys are not up to snuff. I am a dad of a rfa player. He has supported the boys through bad grades got cleats helped families n more. He may not be a super couch but he has pushed hard. Stop crying n pissing go to the practices show these kids that someone does care. The few I talk to have no dad or no mom. K 've in poor homes or no one supports them hell one lives on his own. Become responsibil to the kids show up show support to them give them pride of self worth. And shut the fucking up God the bottle drive raised 3000 in which that is gonna be used for the buses fortge teams n get gear n so much more God you suck ass if you can't stop the bickering n help the kids that need it
