Anyone ever been into Grande's on Floyd Ave and get a sub? Those jokers aren't kidding when they say their subs ONLY come with the meat, lettuce, tomato, onions, mayo, american cheese and italian salad dressing! Went in the other day and got a sub without tomato or onions but wanted turkey, prov cheese, banana peppers and lettuce and they charged more for the cheese and peppers, not going back in that dump again! The pizza is ok for the price, but not going back in just for that. Especially in this economy they are making somewhere like Subway look 10X better since you can load the sub up for no extra charge...are other local restaurants pulling that little trick too?

Grande's is extremely overpriced and no where near as good as other places in Rome. I ordered a large pizza with 3 toppings and some wings and my bill was 42$! They charge a 4$ delivery fee as well. No thanks, never again.

As far as pizza I'd only been in for the lunch special.$42 is a crazy high price what you got. I wonder if the delivery driver even gets all of the $4? Even more of a reason not to return...was a dump before it closed and reopened as a dump!!

Had the pizza last week, worst pizza I ever had. Won't be going back. The one in Westmoreland is still good.

Nope. Thread was started by someone who values the money they work hard for. These jokers don't say anything to you on the phone about the upcharge. Most people are use to a place (such as Subway, Big Daddy's, Cianfracco's, etc) that doesn't pull that little trick.

btw Bucky's seems to be the place hurting pretty bad on Floyd Ave. LaRoma's has always been pretty good food that is way over priced, but they somehow seem to keep pulling people in. Compare their menu to other pizza joints around town for pizza, wings, subs, appetizers, etc.. and pretty much everyone else is cheaper than they are.

I have many friends in the pizza and restaurant business. Wing prices are off the hook. Have been for a long time now. All over the news, web, etc..!!!

I'm not cheap, just not going to pay extra for something that most places don't even charge for. On another note...how bad off is Grande's if they need to charge for these "extras"...? It's obviously a way for them to jack the bill up a little and hope the customer doesn't notice.

Thank you for proving my point:) You can't actually counter what I posted so you just write "cheap" over and over again without contributing anything of substance.

YES! Mazzaferro's has the best subs anywhere! Their large subs are huge and they pack tons of meat the subs. Their quality and prices can't be beat!

Nice, I'll check them out soon. Go there for burgers and sausage, never tried a sub before. For local businesses Cianfracco's and Big Daddy's do make a good sub though..

Glad I posted!

Thank you for addressing the issue (<-- not being sarcastic). I don't eat out often and was a bit shocked at those charges considering most other places don't have them. Like most, I work had for money I earn, but it wasn't 100% the issue. Was the principle of it felt like the extra charges were "snuck in". After this thread I will be trying other recommended businesses and depending on how quality, quantity (meat & cheese) and prices compare I will consider returning.
