Its sad when the community loses yet another piece of history. It seems we can't take the time or afford to maintain anything these days!

How was the bandstand a piece of history? It was an ugly concrete stage. It was only used for kids to drink, do drugs and graffiti on. They should of knocked it down years ago.

It was not an eyesore so obviously you didn't wander up from south Rome too often. It was used every summer and those of us from the area will miss it.

Dont complain about the graffiti, the destroying of playgrounds, the GARBAGE you people leave in the parks. That doesn't matter. Lets complain about something that would have cost ten times more to fix and make presentable or just knock it down. Every year they wasted time and money repainting it or reconcreting it because YOUR children are destroying it. Oh and on another note. They put out dog stations BUT yet you people still have your dog crap on the lawn and leave it. Get a life and complain about something worth a conversation.

It was used every summer. The baton lessons were there. The kids would also get up there and sing and dance. It was enjoyed by many every summer.

City hasn't offered Baton lessons in 8 yrs. It was a concrete stage that was no longer useful. Thank you for cleaning the area up. Please keep the momentum!!!!

The city was, and is not the only ones who gives baton lessons. The place was used every summer. The kids got their trophies given to them for baseball, and other summer sports. You can thank fusco all you want but he is an idiot and he is destroying this city piece by piece. It was built with taxpayers money, therefore there should have been a public discussion on the issue before it was destroyed. You people or clonies can kiss Fusco's ass all you want, but he is a freaking joke and I hope it comes back and bites him and his butt buddies right in the ass.

Whatever you say Ms clonie. You keep your head in the sand and kissing the idiot's ass and there is going to be nothing left in Rome. TAXPAYERS money to build and to tear it down. We have the right to voice our disapproval in Fusconut's arrogant behavior. You don't like what people have to say then find something else to read.

hey pee brain. When something is old and not worth fixing you tear it down. Just look in the city. They took down Yankee stadium. And youre bitching about some crappy concrete safety hazard stage. Get a life loser

So what if you remember they asked the public and voted on tearing it down. They also rebuilt it with money raised to build the new one. Talk about an idiot you fit the bill. There is a big difference between Yankee Stadium and the band stand or are that freaking stupid? That crappy band stand you refer to was paid for with our tax dollars. I think we have a right to have a say in what happens to it before your butt buddy goes and tears anything down we paid for. So you can kiss my grits. By the way the Yankees suck no matter where they play.
