It is still standing just to irritate you. How is that for an answer? So what if it falls. What is it going to do break up some more of the rubble there. Who cares?

the powers that be think it is a landmark, but the insurance is paint it (to say nothing of theinsurqanjce to teaqr it down) is too much. The tower belongs to the owners of the Rome Cable site

The tower and the dirt it sits on, inside the fence belongs to the city of rome. Cost to paint is approx.$40,000. Similiar to the one on base.

I wonder if the city is going to leave that eyesore the way it is when the new boat launch/ nav. center goes in? That is one hell of a "WELCOME TO ROME".

Can't believe with all the other eye sores in this city your major concern seems to be the water tower. You need to take a ride through the city and looks at some of the houses and closed busineses that look a whole lot worse than that tower. Look at Fusconuts property on Thomas St. The building is leaning in so bad it is no wonder it has not falling in, and nothing is being done with that. There is more to worry about than that tower.

Not really if they did they would clean the place up like they were suppose to, but Uncle Fuckonut gets too much money from them to bother with such trivial matters.

Right! People see the blight just by reading the Fuckonuts sign saying he is mayor when they enter Fuscoville.
