A place that isn't infested with welfare dwellers is what I would like to see. Or someone that dosen't use an E.B.T. card.

It's rather small for a Target, isn't it?

not surprised they're closing. rome can hardly support most businesses. most people can hardly afford to shop in this city period. look at how much of the cities budget goes towards social services. kmart comes in and Walmart drives them out. office max comes in and staples drives them out. home depot comes in and lowe's drives them out. Walmart is making it hard on any business and I don't really get that because their prices aren't all that much better then the rest, it's just a one stop for most things. moe's won't last long either, then again the only things that seem to be lasting are restaurants. kinda shows that romans can afford to eat but not shop. heard rumors that jc penny and marshalls might close too. wouldn't surprise me either. the base is gone and that hit rome's economy hard. add to that the prison closing along with orion bus and some of the other better paying jobs in the area and peoples income aren't what it used to be so everyone is going cheap. Aldi's is doing better then ever though so that tells ya something right there. rome needs a make over and bad. too many traffic lights, really, do ya really need to stop every block. the capitol theater is no way near being utilized to it's fullest potential, always showing black and white movies and was the last time they had a kick ass concert there. I mean really, you can pretty much tell right away whether a new business is gonna last or not in this city. look at what's doing well- cheap food stores, dollar stores and Walmart, sure people want to save money but it's also a sign that people in rome don't have the money to support the other stores. also heard a store called the runnings is going in the old home depot. guess it's a mix between lowe's and tractor supply. if true, how long will they last having to compete with those two, unless their prices are going to be that much better and they have a good, wide selection of products. I don't know, i'm not a business major, but as much as it all makes sense. it all don't.

Lowe's did not drive Home Depot out, Home Depot had lazy and unprofessional people there and they got what they deserved.

Have you seen some of the half wits that work at lowes in rome???? Retarded people, cross eyed people, old fat people, young kids that play on their cell phones and not help customers. The only reason lowes is still around is the same as why Wal-Mart is still around.

Texas Roadhouse or Buffalo Wild Wings don't accept EBT cards so rome will never get either. Rome is full of welfare bums that won't even get out of their pajamas to go shopping, look around Walmart. We really need to cut the losers off to force them to get jobs and stop rewarding them by pumping up their benefits every time the pop out another kid. Maybe if we had less bums and more working people good businesses would want to open here. Just a thought.

I'd like to see another welfare office. That's one thing that won't go out of business in Rome!

I'd like to see an assault weapon shopping mall where you could purchase new and use weapons and discounted ammo for same. Also multiple gunsmiths could repair our weapons. Finally this freedom mall could have an area dedicated to repeal of the safe act and the removal of all politicians who voted for it. Also the mall should support statehood for all counties north of NYC.

At some point sanity must be the answer.

Just try this and I'll have you gun nuts arrested and put away for life. New York is a no gun state. If you don't like it leave. I don't need you in this state anyway.

I am the Governor and what I say goes. I will be reelected by a huge majority and will strengthen even more the anti-gun laws. Move away now while you can but remember when I am president I'll make the entire country anti-gun. You won't have anywhere to run when I start confiscating weapons.
