First off I know there will be Fusco Clones who will defend Mr. Fusco's letter, and I refer to the letter that appeared in tonights paper concerning the mayor, and the demand resignations from some of the city employees. Personally I believe the letter just goes to show you some of what we can expect from our newly elected mayor. The arrogances of this leter, and his apparent lack of a educated mentality just goes to show you how freaking stupid he is. The people of this city should be ashamed that you were dumb enought to elected him mayor. I felt the lettter was unwarrented, and was an insult to the people of this community. No other mayor has ever done anything like this to any out going mayor. Why he felt it was nessessay was nothing more than to flaunt his arrogants, and is nothing more than an example of what we can look forward to in the next four years. I really hope he does not continnue this type of self serving behavior as our mayor or we will never get the support we need from our other elected officals. Nice going Joe.

I support Fusco but I do feel like for once he was firing back at Brown, but Brown lost so it was unecessary to keep up with the antics. Granted I wouldn't put it past Brown to do the same thing, I still expect different from Fusco. We elected him to be a change, not the same attitude in a new body.

Well, my guess is that Tim Benedict wrote this vindictive letter with spirited advice from his new boss. The particularly spiteful warning to stay off city property is disgusting.

Even I was surprised-and I can't tolerate the man! Wow! Rude, arrogant, and uncalled for. Let the unprofessional behavior begin! I thought he wanted a warm and fuzzy community oriented reputation? This was full of arrogance and insinuation!Big mistake!

Well, for once I'm agreeing with just about every post on this thread. I also thought the letter to Brown was really tacky and unnecessary. Although I didn't vote for Fusco, I secretly was a little glad that we were getting someone new. I no longer feel that way. This letter is the "straw that broke the camel's back" for me. I hope this isn't what the future holds for us Romans. Are all of us "private citizens" going to get a letter saying that charges may be filed against us if we trespass?

Did anyone stop to think that Fusco, who thus far has shown EXTREME patience with Brown's histrionics, might have taken this opportunity to lay the legal groundwork to prevent Brown from using any "I need to check/get personal/personnel files I forgot/I need certain records to respond to lawsuits that I wasn't warned to take when I left/I left my favorite pencil in your desk" excuses once Jan. 1 rolls around?

If you know Brown at all, you know that drama is just starting. He CANNOT accept that he lost, and I am not afraid to say that since his loss he has been seen by many "wandering" around Rome looking..."lost". I am actually impressed that the new leadership has taken the incentive to try to prevent him from hindering progress.I just hope it works.

The first post is from a "well educated" Brown supporter! Probably posted by one of the former City employees. Good riddance!

Another devoted future employee on his kingships court of jesters. He nor did anyone else have to tell Brown shit. Brown has accepted he lost the election. He offered the olive branch to Joe, and Joe decided to beat him over the head with it. Its Joe who can't accept the fact he is an idiot, and that stupid letter says it all.

Nope. A business owner who saw the fraudulence of the Brown reign, and asked questions. Open your eyes, man.

Accepted it? Really? Why is he still wandering North Rome with his wife trailing him in her city supported car? She retired, blah, blah, blah. We paid for his ability to go get drunk while we were embarassed.

Deny it, please. This is sad and such a LIE. Don't blame Brown's lies and sneaky maneuvers on anyone but HIM!

And we might wonder if there will be reprisals. Of course people who serve at the pleasure of the executive are gone. That is a fact of political/public service. But will the Fusco people exceed rudeness and threats to dabble in real harassment?

If Joe was smart he would right now be considering damage control over his letter. He and his supporters want all of us to come and support him but then he pulls something like this. How do you expect people to support him with crap like this. Joe I am disappointed that you choose to do this. You are just as bad as the ones you got elected to replace. You claimed you were suppose to be better than them. Try another letter, but this time you need to apologize to the city as a whole, and the ones who thought you were better than that.

What? Go back and re-read the Sentinel article that quotes the letter. Then take some honesty and objectivity and report back.

fusco hasn't been in office one day yet and he is showing his supporters what his priorities are. He seems to be obsessed with "the keys". I think he said in answer to a question asked by the sentinel about how he would change things and his intelligent answer was "I don't have the keys yet". I have said from the beginning Joe Fusco is a joke but I realise the joke is on us, were screwed for a few years and he may do some serious damage. Imagine him going to Congress to save Rome Lab or DFAS? his letter sounds to me like he maybe more arrogant than Jim Brown ever thought of being. PS: Joe, JIm Brown is a citizen and property owner in Rome and has every right to be in city hall or any other city owned property. You now (and in my opinion unfortunately) work FOR THE PEOPLE OF ROME, YOU DIDN'T WIN THE CITY IN A LOTTERY YOU WON THE JOB OF MOVING US FORWARD, don't start out being an ass...

As usual you are mistaken. I am not nor have I ever been an employee of the city. I am a resident just like many who are tired of the BS. I did not make my assessment of the letter as a Brown supporter but as someone who expected better of Mr. Fusco. If he plans to represent me as my mayors then I hope he exercises better judgment in the future in dealing with people. The letter reeks of arrogance, and is an insult to anyone with any common sense. It is a disappointment to me considering all the finger pointing he did at Brown and his administration for their arrogance.

Here's one for you !
How about 70,0000 plus benefits for a plain clothes boy in blue that caught getting booty on duty and more. Rather than discipline or fire him, he was allowed to be out sick for almost a year collecting full pay and benefits until he could retire with dignity. Now that same person is out putting up Brown signs all over town. I don't know who should be more embarrassed about this, Brown for allowing this to happen or the now retired p.o. that is putting up the signs as payback. Shame on you both! Sounds like wasted tax payer money to me. Not saying his priorities are wrong, but he has fired people for less!

I like how Buttafusco might show up on Monday, or maybe Tuesday. Whenever he can break away from digging some graves, that is.
