So what we got is Da truth, who believes any opinion that is not down with his or the processed mainstream is a druggie. Are you for against?

The Plan, I take it you are against drones and I wonder how you feel about all technology? Are cell phones and computers part of the agenda to enslave us?
I also wonder how you feel about the recent rash of banker sucides.
As far as the atheist jab, that is another topic. I do agree that religion is control.
The Nascar track was a huge mistake and it could have benefited the area greatly.

Guess you're not a NASCAR fan. If you were, then you would know that they are racing before empty grandstands and that attendance has dropped drastically. A track in Rome would have been a huge failure.

Upstate New York's successful bid to host one of the nation's drone testing programs came with the promise of millions of dollars in economic benefit to the region, but money to establish and operate the site itself is still needed.

Now the consortium behind the designation is reaching out to New York state.

There was no federal funding attached to the Federal Aviation Administrationís designation of upstate New York as a drone research site. The coalition that won the bid just before the New Year, known as NUAIR, will be based at the former Griffiss Air Force Base in Rome. The research lab there is upgrading a former hanger to house drones and equipment.

NUAIR,(formally the Northeast UAS Airspace Integration Research Alliance), is made up of more than 40 academic institutions and defense contractors. The six test sites are part of the FAA's process of developing guidelines on integrating drones into the national airspace.

NUAIR says it will need $1.2 million a year for its operating budget in each of the next two years. Now, itís seeking funding from New York state for that, but doesnít have any promises.

"It won't be a show stopper, but it does delay things," if NUAIR can't get funding soon, said the coalitionís General Counsel, Larry Brinker.

Still, Brinker says they hope to be operating this summer.

"If we can get the state funding that weíre looking for, that moves us along a little more quickly," he said. "Whatís happening is, the FAA sort of set the timetable for the first two months, so nobody is getting ahead."

Well what is clear is your reading comprehension, he/she are in agreement and supporting you that a track would not be beneficial today. I was responding that a track would have been 20 years ago. I also agree that today it would not.
As far as drones, yes they have been in limited use for years. Do you have any vision at all?
So I would say you need to improve in comprehension and I doubt that you will, so you should probably fire up a dobie to help with you anger issues.

On one hand it would change the way we would conduct warfare, saving soilders lives. I can envision smaller more elite units, following drones strikes to clean up. So much changes when you remove the human, the limitations are removed, drones don't get fatigued, need food or bathroom breaks and are truly despensible and that is not even close to all the advantages of having them. As a country, I do not think you can afford not to be on the cutting edge, the future will come, the question is will we been ready for it or just say F it and stick our head in the sand.
On the other hand. Are we really ready to launch a robot army?( we have been using them)How safe is it? Can they be hacked and use against us? Will the government abuse the use of them? Is is moral to kill with them?
I hope for a day when questions like this will be the norm on topix and we have open honest and respectful communication.
People crap all over this and that is ok, I actually find it quiet funny, but this is as grassroots as you can go and it is a real treasure.
It could be a source of knowledge, you can contribute.
Just remember what you project says more about your reality than any thing else.
The CIA will arm these drones and start shooting the good people of Rome as part of their development process? I don't think this is the best way to develop technology. Therefore I do not support this.

Drones? I thought it was spelled S K E E T. This post is posted as sarcasim. No drones were hurt during the production of this post. And remember Never shoot at any government property. Do not attempt this at home. Not designed for children under the age of 21. Contains NO peanut oil. Check with your Doctor if you are or are going to be breastfeeding. Side effects may include rectal warts, unwanted breast development in men, unwanted facial hair in women, halitosis, and an unwanted 1970s porno mustash.

Mark my words - Once those drones start flying people will mysteriously start disappearing. People will mysteriously become victims of violence. People will mysteriously start to become ill (i.e. the drone will distribute chemical and biological weapons). People will mysteriously start to lose sleep. People will mysteriously become paranoid. All because the government want to control and subvert the good people of Rome. MARK MY WORDS. You heard it here first and from me.
