i get it. i have nothing against animals but....the noise(when it is a constant) and the crapping on my property pisses me off. i would call and call until who is supposed to take of it does. i assume you already tried to talk to them (your neighbor) personally about this ?

if you worked the night shift and had to sleep during the day you wouldnt feel that way? i dont but a friend of mine did and the neighbors dog barked for hours on end during the day. there is usually some kind of limit enforced so a person can have some peace in their own home. if a dog needs to be outside and barking all day it belongs in the country. if you have a normal dog that can be chained up outside and barks when the occasional person walks by not a problem but hours of hearing a dog bark sucks. muzzle the dog or bring it inside.

Hey! I live in the country! If you leave your dog out and it barks all day, my 22 magnum reaches out and makes him swiss cheese.

She's never any help when I call her either. I remember constantly calling last winter because this little dog was left outside day and night with no food or water. She didn't care.

Maybe you can toss a hot dog over the fence with some benedryl or something. Just kidding, but it might work so the pup will take a nap. In the meantime, call the mayor's office. If enough people call, they will replace her. I'm not sure what she can do except notify the owners that there's been complaints. I don't understand why people get dogs when they have to leave them alone all day.
