if your referring to the restuarant that used to be on the plaza, it was called Lox, Stock, & Bagels
I'm referring to what is now known as The Delta Lake Inn. That building has a lot of history since the construction of Delta Dam.
It also went by the names Rickard's Ranch, Lock Stock and Barrel, Mr. C's, Lake Delta Inn and now Delta Lake Inn.

hey what about the strip club on James St., i forget the name of it but it was around 1969-70, now im not saying it was a good thing, but when i was a kid my family was stopped in traffic, just long enough for the front door to open and let me catch my very first boobie shot!!!

I believe those buildings are gone where those strip clubs were. I to forget the name, but there was two of them side by side.

I really do miss the old Rome, of fifteen twenty years ago. There was all kinds of department stores here. You could get just about anything here back then. Now you have to go to the mall, and they aren't that great. I remember when river side was big, now it is mainly one big store.

I remember PicWay shoes, Record Giant, Carrol's restaurant, both DQ's, when you had an employee actually pump your gas and clean your windshield at Hess, Tony's T-shirts, Tony's pizza, SuperSaver grocery store (and the cool sledding hill behind/beside it), Frozen Cow, Neisner's, McCrory's, Jupiter, Bargain Center, Goldbergs, Arthur Treachers Fish & Chips, Griffiss Air Force Base, Mohawk Lanes, West Rome Drive-In, Page's Dairy, A&P, Loblaw's, Westside Grocery, Zimball's 5 and dime, Eddies, Cinderella Bakery on Dominick st., Fric and Frac's Flying Food Factory, Dan_dee donuts, when your mother ordered stuff from Sears and you had to go pick it up in the basement level of the store next to where Dollar General is now, the Price Chopper fire, Grand Way/Grand Union, Zayer's, Ames, P&C, Gilette's market, the cinemas where Planet Fitness is now, Kinder College, Barringer School, when we had a big bridge over 46 going towards New London, when $2 could get you into Fort Rickey Game Farm for the day, when PeterPaul FIRST opened, Helen's store up on Dominick St.......And does anyone remember when Rt. 69 going west was WOODS and FROZEN COW????
